The meaning of the praying movements.

In the name of GOD, whose presence encompasses heavens and the earth.

When you pray there are 3 main positions, each with distinct meaning.

Touching the ground with the forehead. - This needs no comment. Bowing to the unseen and becoming a rainbow of beauty.
Hands up - meaning - I have surrendered everything to YOU, to let your presence flow in me.
Both hands above the belly button - meaning - I am the centre of my existence.

The gut centre is the place where subconscious mind stores the causes of our experiences. The belly button is the first communication with the mother as fetus. The body is the vehicle of the self.

Experience is the symptom of the content of the soul.

I am the mirror of my experience.

Whatever is causing this experience, GOD please forgive me, i am sorry, i love you, thank you.

And Praise be to GOD. The Lord of the worlds.

I am not a member of the Bektashi Order but this brief catechism holds one explanation for the movements and a few other things

Contrary to certain belief, Sharia and Friday prayer etc. is very much a part of their routine.
