You should read The Quran if you want more questions on Islam, Quran itself, muslims and people in general.
I don't know what kinda person would tell you not to read The Quran without a guide, considering the fact that The Quran is The Guide.God bless you for being strong and patient.

How dare you calling the Qur'aan "stuff"! I bet if you guys were still in power, just like in the dark ages, we would still be riding donkeys and camels to travel and wiping our butts with odd numbers of pebbles!
What scholars are you talking about? Are you talking about the ones that do not know anything about the complexity of the social, economic, political, scientific, technological, and?issues of the present time? Are you talking about the ones who?ve still got stuck with the issues of the dark ages? Or maybe the ones who still thinking about whether to wipe out their butts with 1, 3, 5, 7, or... pebbles!
The Qur?aan is our only guidance, period. We do not need a bunch of ignorant, back warded, good for nothing mullahs and sheikhs to teach us how to understand the words of ALLAAH (SWT) our LORD. If you have the courage to do it on your own alone, just read 96 and think a little that what kind of people ALLAAH (SWT) is directing his messenger to let them to just LISTEN to HIS words before they are let to go in security. Those people were a bunch of ignorant, illiterate MUSHRIKS at the time, but ALLAAH (SWT) commands his prophet to let them just to HEAR HIS WORDS before they leave.
I do not blame you guys. Historically the same ?scholars? have prevented you from getting close to the Qur?aan in order to sell the words of GOD for a very cheap price. Yes, they are all professional dealers of GOD?S religion.

KhalilSalaam, I would rather be nice! listen brother, God is never offended so be not offended! BUT when i said "stuff" i was referring to blablabla.com and not the quran. Sorry if I wasn't clear. now you tell me where does God said follow quran alone and nothing else? I see you are so against hadith which you claim is man made, is there not truth in hadith brother or are they all evil? na3uzubillah! I would recommend for you one of God's attribute "Haleem". this is the best attribute you need to study and follow! All praise to Allah swt and blessings upon the prophet Muhammad SAW.

welcome to the forum,
i've generally think it must be so hard for converts, they choose to forsake the old beliefs for islam and then end up with muslims who dont live the aspects of islam that probably drew them in in the first place, converts unknowingly throw themselves in to a world of weird rituals and backward beliefs, they get pushed in to changing how they look, speak and most times even their name. i'm really glad you could see it for what it is and Allah guided you.

yeah theres loads of junk on the internet, i'd rather shift through that than have islam dictated to me by 'learned scholars' -[
