Quran as it explains itself is the best english translation of the quran rendition. I use it daily, but it is always advisable to use other translations for better understanding

      Peace,

      No translation is perfect.

The main problem I find with QXP is that it is almost impossible to use and conclude from it, because its not literal, you often have to check a word for word or other translations. But it is decent, and I often refer to it for a different view for awkward/unusual verses.

      See www.ourbeacon.com

Yes they are all lacking in careful precision filled with assumptions. In process of doing my own "literal" translation, easily and consistently done using a word processor and substitution next to the Arabic; e.g.

1141 say I seek refuge in Lord the mankind
      1142 King the mankind
      1143 God the mankind
1144 from evil the whisperer the one who withdraws
1145 the one who whispers in breasts the mankind
1146 from the jinn and the mankind

I didnot want to create a new post, that is why I am using an old post, well, here is my question. Does anyone know why Dr.Shabbir has all this version of his Qurans translation, he gets a new translation every now and then, and also what do you think about the posters especially moderators of this forum, moderators don't hesitate to change the content of one's post as they please, any current contributors or anybody who had any experience may share. Thanks

Translation of others is not Quran; but individual take is Quran; Even each Arab should have his own understanding of an ayat and the way he takes will serve him as his personalised guidance from Quran. Translation is the righteous way one understands of the verses to guide him out of his current adversities. What we shall keep in mind before reading Quran is that Allah knows its content in real times and in real situations of every individual; Allah guides whom He will through His verses, to His path; who can be the best of Interpreters besides Allah? Every single verse shall guide the entire human kind of 100 billion people individually at any given point of time in 6666 billions ways, if only Allah guides each interpreting and teaching His verses Himself.

If we know Quran is wahi, then through Wahi alone we understand the guidance through Quran. And unless there are a 100 billion individual views to each verse i.e., unless each verse gives individualised understanding or translation by the leave of Allah, reading Quran avails nothing at all to none.

If I am allowed to put suggestion, I think it's better to be careful with QXP (The Qur'an As It Explains Itself).

I had time to get to know Dr. Shabbir and his forum for a while on my early journey when I discovered the truth of 'sahih' hadiths, and based on my personal experiences, now I prefer to not involve myself in his forum.

              Salm.

If I am allowed to put suggestion,

                Of Course, you may

Please, elaborate on it, I find it very helpful, but I don't understand the constant new editions, and also the attitude of ourbeacon.com forum members attitude, they tend be very self righteous, can even resort to personal attacks, and moderators change the message of your posts at their whim

Forgive me, I feel uncomfortable to tell about my opinion on QXP and Dr. Shabbir openly in this forum. If you really want to know, you could send me question through PM.

                    Salm.
