Salaamun all brothers and sisters in Islam,

Warning Please be sure to learn from the verses quoted by yourself and ask Allah to help you understand the same and then follow. In other words, DO NOT follow any human being but follow what Allah guides you towards.

We are not allowed to write any articles or about The Book of Allah, but we can tell or explain in our own words by mouth. Cause, every writer includes his own understanding with the Word of Allah, which could be wrong. Infact, you don't have to follow people's understanding but you have to follow what Allah ask you.

Beside this, Allah said "Inna huda-Allahi huwal huda", that means, "Indeed, guidance from Allah is the real guidance". So always try to learn by yourself, take help from me and others just to get the references from The Book, but study it on your own and ask Allah to guide you on the same, then, inshaAllah, you will be on the right path.

InshaAllah, I will give you references about AlSalaat and try to explain what I understand and practice.

    Here we go....

Salaat is an Arabic word that means "Link" or "Contact".

This word may define itself that we have to create our link with Allah or we have to contact Allah at particular given times.

In most of the places AlSalaat is used with the word 'Aqim', like "Aqeemu AlSalaat". Aqim means to straighten or to correct as we ask Allah for "Siraat AlMustaqeem" means "Correct Path". Mustaqeem is the derivative of Aqim.

Now we have to understand that what "Aqeemu AlSalaat" means, 'Correct your Salaat'? or 'Correct your Link'? or 'Straighten your Contact'? Yes it says the same. Why? It may be the reason as Allah said

    1958
    1959
    1960

1958 Those are the ones whom Allah has blessed from among the prophets from the progeny of Adam, and those We carried with Noah, and from the progeny of Abraham and Israel, and from whom We have guided and chosen. When the revelations of the Almighty are recited to them, they fall down prostrating, and in tears.
1959 Then, generations came after them who lost the contact prayer, and followed desires. They will find their consequences.
1960 Except for whoever repents and believes and does good works; they will be admitted to the Paradise, and they will not be wronged in the least.

means Waste that could mean that their contacts with Allah are going waste.

Now to cut it short, here is the step-by-step way I make my Contact

4103 AlSalaat has to be made in time.

2458 Names and time of AlSalaats . Only two with the names.

56 When you get up for AlSalaat, wash your face, hands, etc....

    4102 Procedure of AlSalaat .

243 Ruku is out of AlSalaat .

1778 Duration and time of Salaat AlEshaan .

11114 Timing of two AlSalaats .

2014, 17111 What to say in AlSalaat.

443 What language can we make AlSalaat in .

    2238 Middle Salaat .

If you notice in 2238, AlSalaati AlWusta is separated from all the Salaats . If you take it as your daily Salaat, then at what time do you made your Salaat on Juma? And why this middle Salaat is not included in Salawaat ?

For example, if someone ask you to take out ALL the book from the room and the red one also. What does this mean? It clearly means that red book is not with all the other books. This is how AlSalaati AlWusta is used in 2238, inshaAllah, if I am not mistaken.

629-10 It is made very clear here that when you get a call for AlSalaat on the day of Juma, you have to leave all your sellings, that means this is not the time of Salaat AlFajr. When you complete AlSalaat, then again seek Allah's Fadzal that means, this is not the time Salaat AlEshaan, cause after Salaat AlEshaan is the time of privacy as in 2458.

This clearly shows that AlSalaat AlJuma is to be made between the two Salaat times, AlSalaat AlWusta .

This is 100% my personal understanding and practicing about AlSalaat, you may need to do your own research.

May Allah guide us all towards the correct path.

    Allah Hafiz,

    Mohammed M. Khan

Thank you for the information on your understanding of salat. The word salawat means three or more.Do you mean to say that 'salawat' includes the juma prayer. Many time periods have been given for Glorifying Allah Subhanahu.Do you think this 'zikr' is part of salat or seperate from it.
I have sent you a personal message.Kindly check and get back.

        Salaaman Alaik brother,

        welcome to this forum

True, Salawaat means more than two Salaats but Juma is not included in REGULAR Salaats or Salawaat as mentioned in 2238 but the second part of this aayat talks about Juma Salaat i.e., Salaat AlWusta. Salaat AlWusta is already been explained as per my understanding in my above post.

'Zikr' simply means 'Remembrance' it has to be done in Salaat and it can be done on other times. Glorifying Allah is something else.

        2014 - Zikr in AlSalaat.

20130 - Glorifying Allah at specific timings i.e., after Salaat AlFajr and before Salaat AlEshan.

Hope I answered your questions, inshaAllah.

May Allah guide us all towards the Truth.

        Mohammed M. Khan

243 Ruku is out of AlSalaat .

And keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and bow down with those who bow down. 243

How can you understand Ruku is out of salaat when it is mentionned clearly in this surat ?

Other proofs that ruku (bowing down) is part of salaat (bowing down and prosternating comes toghether most of the time when the aya speaks about salaat)

We enjoined Ibrahim and Ismail saying Purify My House for those who visit (it) and those who abide (in it) for devotion and those who bow down (and) those who prostrate themselves. (2125)

O Marium! keep to obedience to your Lord and humble yourself, and bow down with those who bow. (343)

And when We assigned to Ibrahim the place of the House, saying Do not associate with Me aught, and purify My House for those who make the circuit and stand to pray and bow and prostrate themselves. (2226)

O you who believe! bow down and prostrate yourselves and serve your Lord, and do.good that you may succeed. (2277)

Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah, and those with him are firm of heart against the unbelievers, compassionate among themselves; you will see them bowing down, prostrating themselves, seeking grace from Allah and pleasure; their marks are in their faces because of the effect of prostration; (4829)

Dont be part of those "And where it is said to them Bow down, they do not bow down." (7747)

How can you understand Ruku is out of salaat when it is mentionned clearly in this surat ?

If you notice, I have quoted the same aayat in my post.

                    It can be translated as

243 And hold the contact prayer, AND contribute towards purification, AND bow down with those who bow down.

Please understand the meaning of 'WA' that means 'AND' in between, something like

24 And those who believe in what was sent down to you, AND what was sent down before you, AND regarding the Hereafter they are certain.

How do you understand this, including AND?

Another thing... If you add Ruku with AlSalaat then you have to add Zakaat also with AlSaat in 243. Hope you understand, inshaAllah.

Other proofs that ruku (bowing down) is part of salaat (bowing down and prosternating comes toghether most of the time when the aya speaks about salaat)

None of the aayaats talk about AlSalaat.

Please convey to him the above phrase who has given that detailed opinion that "Ruku" is merely a transition phase to Sjd. May be he agrees with Badr "case closed". For transitional phases of an act we need not have a participle to describe each and every isolated intervening clip of that action from begininng to end. In the above phrase are two active participles, the later as adjective of the First Participle, reflecting that the first is also a performance of an independent act.

Brother please look at my previous post and again I repeat "None of the aayaats talk about AlSalaat".

We are discussing about Salaat not Ruku.

May Allah guide us all towards the Truth.

                                    Salam,

You exclude Ruku from Assalat, and have a perception of "Waw" as that of English "And" giving a connotation of being a conjunction between two things of different and independent nature in all dimensions. Have I correctly understood you what you stated in earlier posts?

For Assalat you need a . Do you agree that this is a correct proposition?
