My Candid site for Gog-Magog barrier
-
Salamon Alaikom,
As my first post, I just wanted to share with you the result of my search for the possible barrier of Gog and Magog.
My criteria, coming from Ayat of the grand Quran Karim, were the following assumptions
1- The route (and the passage) should be very strategic.
2- The area should be extremely mountainous.
3- The passage should be impassible by construction of a simple medium size barrier, considering the technology of ancient times.
4- I have to be able to provide evidence at least regarding the remnants of the old structure.
5- Finally, it should not disregard the area of concern of which Bible has mentioned, due to cross-referencing of the word in Quran karim and Bible. Here are my findings. Please be informed that I am sharing this based on my best knowledge and I do not insist, what I have found is 100% defend-able. Allah only knows best.

Name Dary?l Gorge, GeorgiaWikipedia DescriptionFrom http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darial_Gorge
Darial was historically important as the only available passage across the Caucasus and has been long fortified ? at least since 150 BC. Ruins of an ancient fortress are still visible. The Russian fort, Darial, which guarded this section of the Georgian Military Road, was built at the northern end of the gorge, at an altitude of 1447 m (4746 ft).Old pictures and paintings of the location
http//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Categoryarial_GorgeA tourist video shows how parts of passage narrows in a way to construct medium size barriers.
http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyGMxzojRVU (039 to 047)Needless to mention that the passage is still the most strategic route, Russia can use for land mobilization missions in Caucasus.
That was all I could find.

Salam and welcome,
I disagree with your finding because the gate you reference is no longer standing but has crumbled.
The gate of Zul Qarnain is an iron gate that is still fully intact.
Also, gog and magog, while thought as being people, are in-fact better described as "bodies of liquid" (water or lava) from how the Quran describes them.
Regards,

Salam.
I disagree with your finding because the gate you reference is no longer standing but has crumbled.
Please explain by some evidence, why do you think the gate (wherever located) should be still "fully intact"? Especially if it was fully intact, it would have been very easy to be discovered!
Also, gog and magog, while thought as being people, are in-fact better described as "bodies of liquid" (water or lava) from how the Quran describes them.
Also kindly explain how does this statement relates to the location of the passage?
Peace,

Salamon Alaikom,
As my first post, I just wanted to share with you the result of my search for the possible barrier of Gog and Magog.

1- The route (and the passage) should be very strategic.

4- I have to be able to provide evidence at least regarding the remnants of the old structure.
5- Finally, it should not disregard the area of concern of which Bible has mentioned, due to cross-referencing of the word in Quran karim and Biblei've located several barriers which fit, and still exist... none of which are referenced by the classical commentators.
The study of Surah al Kahf, ayahs 83-99 has been a long one for me (7 years at least) and so, I will present just one barrier location which fits with your criteria above (there are many that fit but I am saving these for my video series)
As for your claim of the darial gorge pass - the caucuses have 4 passes running through them, and at no point in history were all 4 blocked at any one time together - further, tribes from the north would often reach the southern lands via boat, avoiding the caucuses altogether, so by that standard, your citing of the darial gorge fails to satisfy your own criteria.
Now, for the location I promised

I find it ultimately interesting that the length/height of the barrier from its clearly defined left side matches almost perfectly to the measurement from the seemingly highest to lowest point... what is further of interest to me is the fact that the foot of the barrier is narrower than the top of it, as this also attests to the idea of the barrier being built between two cliffs opened at the top like sea shells (As Saddafain)
