    Book 38, Number 4449
    Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said If anyone has sexual intercourse with an animal, kill him and kill it along with him. I (Ikrimah) said I asked him (Ibn Abbas) What offence can be attributed to the animal/ He replied I think he (the Prophet) disapproved of its flesh being eaten when such a thing had been done to it.

    Book 38, Number 4450
    Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas

There is no prescribed punishment for one who has sexual intercourse with an animal.

Is there or is there not a punishment for having sex with an animal ? ???

If there was a punishment, you won't find it in hadith literature, and it certainly wouldn't be death.

As far as I know, Abu Hanifah rejected the death penalty for bestiality based on the fact that it has no origin in the quran. And that should be our attitude too, you can't just kill someone just because you feel like it.

As for punishment, if it is done publicly then it must be considered fahish as mentioned in quran 415-16, which would entail imprisonment. If it is done in private, then it is none of our business (except possibly animal welfare organisations).

        Salaam Arceus,
Welcome to the forum... regarding your question, well, according to the Holy Quraan "adultery" is taboo (which technically has to include anybody or any'thing' other than your spouses)... sooo, err.. go figure! yuck

        Peace man.

          No wonder!

          482

482 Do they not reflect on the Quraan? If it was from any other than Allah they would have found in it many a discrepancy.

he Creator of the heavens and the earth He has made for you pairs from among yourselves, and pairs among cattle by this means does He multiply you there is nothing whatever like unto Him, and He is the One that hears and sees (all things). (Sura 42 Ayat 11)

The words attributed to Prophet if do not tally with Quran; are not his!
