7431 And We have made the guardians of the Fire to be angels; and We did not make their number except as a test for those who have rejected, so that those who were given the Book would understand, and those who have faith would be increased in faith, and so that those who have been given the Book and the believers do not have doubt, and so that those who have a sickness in their hearts and the rejecters would say What did God mean with an example such as this? It is such that God misguides whom He wishes, and He guides whom He wishes. And none know the soldiers of your Lord except He; and it is but a reminder for human beings.

Can someone please give a brief explanation of what is Allah's message from this verse? I don't know why is a number of angels as guardians of fire a test! Is it something to do with the Bible or some other book?

    Thanks

This verse has nothing to do with the bible, and the bible isn't a book from god, the quran confirm only the torah and the injeel, while the bible contains gospels , letters of paul, and many books in the ancient testament.
19 a,gels over hell is in the Boook of the Dead in Egypt. and there is images in the walls of Egypt with 19 guardians over hell, I believe it has to do with Egypt. people of the book are Egyptians bani Israel , and Ethiopians Nasara.

      Allah knows best.

        Hello Pel,

74th chapter of The Quran is an answer for those who denying Quran as God's message. In basically manner, God's answer is connected with something related with number 19, which can be explained by "Code 19 in Quran" (Google). Maybe you can relize that why Quran is consist of 114 chapters.

7431 is demonstrates mental behaviour of those who tend to frustrate facts of code 19.

At least we know that number of 19 is a signature of God which has been applied by God to previous scriptures. There were similar facts in Torah, which identified by Rabbi Juda in 11th Century.

You can get info about Rabbi Juda's facts, on first parts of this page http//www.submission.org/miracle/history.html

        Peace.

And not We have made keepers the fire only malikatan
And not We have made their count only fit'natan for those kafar

Fitna is not a test which one can pass/fail and pointless to state a test for those who fail.

Fitna is an infatuation with numerology evident by those obsessed with nineteen multiples.

          Peace!
