The Concept Of A Cyclical Universe: From A Quranic Viewpoint

According to the theory of Big Bang the universe came into existence 13.7 billion years ago. It is commonly believed that prior to the big bang, there was nothing. And during and after the big bang there was something (the universe). The idea of a big bang is confirmed by the Quran.
Quran 2130
Have those who rejected not seen that the heavens and the earth were one piece, so We split them apart? And that We have made from the water everything that lives. Will they not believe?In 2330 in the Quran, we are told that the universe was one mass, and then it split apart. Therefore this part of the theory of Big Bang is in alignment with verse 2130, in the Quran. The fact that the Universe was one mass and then exploded, was discovered less than 100 years ago by modern science. But this fact was written in the Quran for more than 1400 years ago. Discoveries in astronomy have shown that the Universe is expanding. By measuring the expansion of the Universe, scientists have found out when our universe came into existence. The idea that the Universe is expanding is also confirmed by the Quran.

And the heaven we constructed with resources, and we are expanding it.The universe started as one mass, then exploded. The universe is also expanding. There is however one huge problem with the theory of Big Bang. First and foremost, there are no proofs that suggests that nothing existed before the current Universe came into existence. The part of the theory of Big Bang which explains that our universe is the only universe that has existed is therefore completely based on guesswork. Hence, it is not a fact. Science can only trace back the expansion of the universe to it's beginning, but not beyond that. In the Quranic viewpoint Allah has always existed and will always exist. Allah is the creator and maintainer of everything in the Universe. The current cosmological theory is that the existence of the universe started 13.7 billion years ago. In other words the Universe had a beginning. If this cosmological theory is true, it means that Allah didn't create anything before 13.7 billion years ago. But Allah has no beginning and has no end. Allah has always existed. Allah exists outside of time and space, because there can only be a beginning and a end when there is time and space. Only things that exist in time and space have a beginning and an end. This means that human beings, animals, plants and everything else in the universe has a beginning and an end. But Allah does not have a beginning or an end. So If Allah has always existed, it means that Allah might have always created. This logical explanation shows that Allah could have have created universes before the big bang. Therefore previous universes might have existed (that were created before the current universe we live in). This current universe had a beginning, which is proven by modern science. The fact that the current universe had a beginning is also confirmed by the Quran (see 2130).
If Allah always has existed, it means that Allah didn't have a beginning. This can be showed more clearly through an example. If a carpenter builds a house in 2004, then the beginning of that house is in 2004. But if the house had always existed it means that it didn't have a beginning. For human beings it is natural to assume that everything has a beginning, since humans have a beginning. But Allah is different than everything else. And Allah is different that its creation. If Allah has always existed it means that Allah didn't have a beginning. And since Allah will always exist, it means tha Allah does not have a end. Because only things that have a beginning will have an end.
In Hindu cosmology the universe never came to be at one point, but has always been there, and will always be there, eternally in flux. Just like water that changes it's shape when it is freezed or melted, while it's substance remain the same. The universe is in flux, and is constantly changing. For example the universe is expanding. According to hindu cosmology the Universe has no beginning and no end, and is therefore cyclical universe. A cyclical universe is a universe which is created, destroyed, and then recreated. Hindu cosmology claims that the universe never came to be at one point, but has always been there, and will always be there, eternally in flux. Just like water that changes it's shape. When water is freezed, it changes its shape, but it's substance remain the same. And when water is ice, and melts, it's shape changes, but its substance remain the same. Hindu cosmology is compatible with discoveries of cosmology in our day and age.
Dick Teresi, an american author says the following about Hindu cosmology
"Indian cosmologists, the first to estimate the age of the earth at more than 4 billion years. They came closest to modern ideas of atomism, quantum physics, and other current theories. India developed very early, enduring atomist theories of matter. Possibly Greek atomistic thought was influenced by India, via the Persian civilization."
In his book Cosmos, Carl Sagan wrote the following about Hinduism
"? is the only religion in which the time scales correspond? to those of modern scientific cosmology. Its cycles run from our ordinary day and night to a day and night of the Brahma, 8.64 billion years long, longer than the age of the Earth or the Sun and about half the time since the Big Bang".
The concept of a cyclical universe is compatible with the Quran.
This current universe had a beginning, which is proven by modern science. The fact that the current universe had a beginning is also confirmed by the Quran (see 2130). In the Quranic viewpoint a second creation will emerge.
Quran 1448
The day the earth is replaced with another earth, as are the heavens, and they will appear before God, the one, the supreme.In 1448 in the Quran we are told that a new earth and a new universe will be created. This is in alignment with the concept of a cyclical universe, which claims that the universe is created, destroyed and recreated. In the Quranic viewpoint the current universe we live in, will cease to exist. And a new universe will emerge. The concept of a cyclical universe is also confirmed in another verse in the Quran. Allah is the one who begins the processs of creation, then repeats it.
Quran 21104
On the day when we roll up the heavens like the scroll of a book is rolled up. As we initiated the first creation, so shall we return it. It is a promise of ours that we will do this.A new earth will emerge, and this earth will be inherited by those who did good. In other words, after the ressurection of mankind, the paradise will be on the new earth (which will be created).
Quran 21105
And we have written in the Psalms After the remembrance, that the earth will be inherited by My servants who do good.The verses about cosmology in the Quran are in alignment with the concept of a cyclical Universe. At the same time, the verses of cosmoly in the Quran is not incompatible with the idea of big bang (in the current universe). At the same the part of the theory of Big bang which claims that the Universe came into existence, is not confirmed by the Quran. The current universe came into existence 13.7 billion years ago, but not the universe. The Universe might have existed far longer than when the big bang started. Allah has always existed. Allah has existed even before the current universe came into existence 13.7 billion years ago through big bang. Since Allah have always existed, it means that our creator could have created previous universes (that existed before the big bang). Unfortunately there is no evidence that shows us that Allah has created previous universes. However, from a Quranic point, a new universe and a new earth will be created. This means that the concept of a cyclical universe is in alignment with the verses about cosmology in the Quran.

5147 - What you defined as resources is still TRUTH. Truth is NOT just something that wise people speak, truth is the base matter of the physical universe.
ALLAH is the energy pervading the universe. The energy can produce anything and everything. Read chapter 21 and be enlightened as to what's going on. ALLAH can do anything and everything, ALLAH is never bored. Yet how does ALLAH occupy his time!
Truth is binary information, basic 1s and 0s. ALLAH is THE truth, the total summation of all 1s and 0s, that results in what I can only describe as a singularity that acts as a qubit does and produces anything and everything via purposeful superposition.

In my text/essay, in this thread, I agree with the idea of the current universe having a beginning. However, from my current understanding of cosmology, previous universes have existed. The current universe (the one we are living in) had a beginning, but not the universe itself, and that's the message I wanted to convey in my last post. Thanks for your recommendation. I will check it out.

I believe, there is just one eternity. That is God. So an eternal cyclical universe, I do not agree with.

Cycles are the way everything works. It's how balance is achieved - we go up, then down, then up a little, then down a little less, until we hit equilibrium point.
However there is only one eternity. But do remember ALLAH is lord of the worlds.

Allah has always existed. Allah is the creator of everything. Therefore Allah can have always created. An eternal creator can eternally create (which means that Allah has the power to create previous universes before the big bang started 13.7 billion years ago).
The theory of big bang is in alignment with cosmology when it comes to these things
- That the current universe started as one big mass, and then exploded.
- That the current universe is expanding.
However, the theory of Big Bang can only explain how the current universe came into existence. The theory of Big Bang can not explain if there were previous universes (before the Big Bang).
And the theory of big bang can not explain if there are other universes other than the current universe we live in. In the Quranic viewpoint, there are seven universes. We are living in the lower universe (in one of the seven universes). This means that there are 6 other universes.

And we have adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and We made it with projectiles against the devils; and we prepared for them the retribution of the blazing fire.Quran 4112

I didn't say that Allah have created eternal objects. And I never said that the Universe is eternal. I had a message and it was the following Since Allah has always existed, then it means that Allah could have created previous universe/universes before the big bang. Because the current universe (which we now live in) is 13.7 billion years old. And since Allah has always existed, it means that Allah can have created a universe before the big bang (before 13.7 billion years ago). Maybe I am wrong, but it seems that you have misinterpreted my posts. I suggest reading them one more time.

Guess what dude, general relativity came way after the quran was revealed. And now that it is understood we know why ALLAH swearing by the falling/places of stars is such a great oath; These two concepts are identical in general relativity, truly does ALLAH know all to choose one word with the perfect dual meaning.
Don't limit al-quran to a time when the currency was camels, it does not befit the creator of THE WHOLE FRICKIN UNIVERSE that you say he can't write a timeless book.
I can only really speak for myself but I can fairly assume that most people on this forum don't give a damn about the whole concoction of history to "explain the quran" and would prefer to let it speak for itself. Don't quote me on that.
Of course, that's not to say that the idea of seven universes is any more or less true, but do keep in mind that baseless ahadeeth are not the way to go when studying such a potent book.
