Once I wrote about this, but once more should be ok.
I'm actually listening to an english version of Quran, translated by N.J.Dawood and read by Alec Sand.
So far the best listening in english.
Your translation is great. Let's pray to find a pure hearted voice who can do a neutral reading and you may launch your work in audio format too.
The reason I didn't listen to translations is that usually the readers get emotional along te verses and dramatize without need.
Inspirations are not emotional. They just come.

I found an English-only audio of Quran, read by an American. http//www.meaningofquran.com/ It requires you to register before downloading, but in 3 months, they have not sent me any emails or publicized my address.

I am not so happy about all his credentials, but the audio style is what I have diligently searched for.
I wish I could find the Arabic Quran not recited but read in a normal voice? (I already have audio files of a few beautiful reciters. ) Anybody know about that? Being new to forum life, I ownder if I should start a new thread?

I'm searching for the same thing. There's hundreds of freely available "sung" recordings, but I find that the melody distracts from the words and make them harder to discern for my untrained ear. I want something plain, without the oral calligraphy, preferably slowly paced.
I think you should start a new thread. Perhaps someone knows something?
I'm downloading the english recording now. It is possible to use a disposable email account to register for sites such as this one.

I am searching for an audio version of quran that I can listen to (with english translation) but the translation should confirm the views that we talk here.
For example the 236 verse, all translations talk about bonded woman as in present tense and am not sure if I can swallow this version because slaves (male or female) should not be encouraged or confirmed by Almighty as in the present tense while Quran talks about equality and humanity and taqwa.
