hmm, point taken. The whole thing about these scholars and ulemas remind me of the Pharisees of the New Testament.

They are the same lot. One is sectarian the other ethnocentric. One shows and forces his agenda the other hides it and shapes it in a universalist garment. One gives absolute authority to the ruler the other to the community leaders. One shapes his orthodoxy as a ruling majority elite the other as an isolated and exclusive minority. Both are dual revelationist and scripture abrogationist.
