Learning Quran, where to start?
-
Peace,
I am interested in the learning of quranic arabic or classical arabic, what resources do you guys recommend and how have your own learning experiences been?
My interest has grown in this area because translations vary from one another and some are very different from the usual traditional renderings. I can only at the moment recite the arabic and have no understanding of the grammatical rules or anything, however I am optimistic as I recall one translation saying
'We made the Quran easy, Do you wish to learn?'
or something along them lines.

Indeed the Quran is easy to learn.
One thing to keep in mind is that the Quran is made up of about only 2,000 root/words that are repeated to make up the almost 80,000 total words in the Quran. If you don't know arabic, start studying the Quran in your vernacular language first! After you get some basis, then study the arabic original. That way you can relate the meaning of the stories and understand better.
If you're trying to learn the arabic alphabet then transliterate your vernacular language's alphabet into arabic, (i.e A=Aleph B=B, C = Sad/Seen) this way you'll remember it better.
Also, remember that language is not a barrier in the Quran. What matters is you study the Quran and know what it is about in whatever language you feel comfortable with!here is a dictionary of the roots in the Quran
http//corpus.quran.com/qurandictionary.jspsite has frequent used words in the Quran
http//emuslim.com/Quran/English80.asp12 words each in 16 lessons for frequent words in the Quran

Arabic is easy to learn and understand-the Grand Qur'aan
Mind it that the sincere allegiants of http//www.haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.%20Tabweeb/00003.%20Ar%20Rehman/1.gif are those who, when they were reminded with the Aa'ya'at/verbal passages of their Sustainer Lord, they did not behave/fall/react on them in a state of deafness and blindness
Deafness is related to listening in which the major role is played by the ear's audibility; and blindness apparently relates to visual faculty for which eyes play a role as seeing instrument. Grand Qur'aan is telling us that, by following the tradition of such people, we should utilize both these faculties simultaneously to quickly grasp and understand Arabic language and comprehend what has been said in its Aa'ya'at. We will soon find that for non-natives the act of seeing the Arabic text plays a major role in making the process of learning very easy and rapid.
Forget, and try to delete from memory all those myths and wide spread conjectural propaganda that contradicts the above stated fact of simplicity in learning and understanding Arabic of Grand Qur'aan. Listen and ponder over the emphatic reiteration, in four identical worded Ayah, of aforementioned fact by Allah, the Exalted
Know that it is a certain fact that We have since simplified/made easy the Grand Qur'aan for convenience of saving in memory, comprehension, understanding and recalling to narrate and for taking lesson; therefore, is there one who consciously and purposely saves it in memory, comprehends, understands and recalls to mention/take lesson and admonition?
Parts of Speech
Just recognize and know few Particles and you recognize almost all Nouns of Grand Qur'aan, merely by seeing the text.
Grand Qur'aan is easy to learn-Grammar; Morphology and Syntax.
I wish and intend to prepare just twenty lessons wheeafter one can start translating the text simultaneoulsy while listening or reading.

Strongly agree. When you go to an art gallery, who gets a better view of the art, the person clear sighted or the person wearing sunglasses? If I go to a concert, am I going to have a better experience hearing with open ears, or with my own music playing in my ears as well? Likewise, when reading al-quran don't read your own book on top of it! It may take time to reverse the conditioning & mythology of society.
QuranCorpus as a whole is amazing, revolutionary. Type in a verse into the search box and it breaks the verse down word by word. Click on a word, it shows you all its occurences & forms in the quran. Anyway, Arabic is a very precise language, it fits together like colour coded lego blocks.
