The Message - 2nd Edition
-
Salaam Y'all,
I was wondering if this 2nd Edition was available for ordering yet, but based upon what I'm getting from the progression of the discussion here, I'm assuming that it's not available yet for ordering from Amazon or iuniverse.
Anyway, I have a question for you Layth I've noticed that in some parts of the translation you translated 'Solla' into Contact-Method, but in other parts you also have Assembly. I'm just curious if that's the way the final draft of it would be printed? Actually, it doesn't matter to me personally either way, but I am curious as to what your final plans are for this particular term.
Salaam Y'all.

That should not be the case. Are you refering to the downloadable QT version or the on-line? If you refer to the on-line then you are correct as I havn't mannually updated all the chapters.

peace Layth, All,
I found a verse which implies the root QTL can mean to kill, non-literally. Please read 466-68. I say this because The God does not guide someone after they have killed themselves, i.e. one can only be guided when they are alive.
Now read 254.
Thus, this word in these specific occurrences should be changed to 'overcome' in the PM QT.

Peace be upon you,
If we translate "nafs" as Mind, then there is no contradiction. There are two basic mind states, that of the Garden, which is Peaceful, and that of the fire. In the verse in question, they had a fiery mindstate and Musa told them to KILL those mindstates. Until the negative state is killed, one cannot RESSURECT into the Peaceful mindstate.
The SIMILTUDE was given to those before us, but they got it wrong, let us not follow the same path.

I think 'The messages' introduction may need to be re-worded.
The Quran is the final in a series of written revelations that occurred between God and humankind beginning with the revelations given to Abraham and
ending with the last prophet over 1,400 years ago.I am not sure with the first high lighted area, but I do not believe the Quran implies revelation has ended. What verse is this based on?
The second part I feel God called Muhammad the 'seal' rather than last of the prophets for a reason, perhaps the last prophet is not a Quranic notion.
