An interesting biblical concept is that given names are meaningingful in someway

As a Rule of Thum, the Prefix/suffix "EL and YAH" means God, ( YAH Being the Short/poetic form of the Holy name of God, see psalm 684) (e.g Hallelu-YAH = praise God!)

Here are some Quranic people and their names Defined.

Abraham Ab-Rah-Im (father of many) ab=father rahim=many people (arabic rahty =group)
Ishmael God will hear (God heard Hagars afflication)
    Isaac (Hebrew "Yitzhaq&quot "He Laughs"
Jacob Heel (k3b) Because jacob came out of the womb holding his twin brother esau's heel
    Israel God contended
Joseph "He will add" (God will add another son; Benjamin)
Moses brought out of the water (Mo-she)
Jesus (Hebrew Yeshua) an alternative to the name Joshua "'Yahoshuah" YAH (God) is saves/is salvation
    Marry Bitterness/rebelious (Hebrew M-r-r/M-r-i)
Eliyas (Hebrew EliYAHU My God is YAH (Yah is short form of God's Holy name see psalm 684)
Eliyas3 (Hebrew EliYAHsh3) My God is my salvation
    Zakariyah YAH (God) remembered
    Job "Persecuted.hated
    Jonah "Dove"
    Lot "covering/viel"
Michael from the expression " mo kemo elohim" = Who is like God
    Gabriel God is my strength

I find it s interesting that biblical names have such meanings and a story!
Also, most names contain God's real name!
