Forgiveness for all Sins

considering I recently turned Quranist, I remember during traditional days it was stated that one who did Hajj would have every one of their sins forgiven whether they did it knowingly or in ignorance. Is this still applicable to us now?

Sorry to say, but such ideology has no stance in the Quran.
There are many supersitious beliefs similar to that as (e.g memorizing the "99" names of God = Heaven guaranteed)
A similar concept is the fasting during "ashura", aka, the Yom Kippor/ Atonement day that's prescribed in the Torah. God however does not prescribe upon us such an atonement day in the Quran.Muslims who fast during Ashura/Yom kippor, are actually not fasting the right way, because Fasting in the Torah differes from that in the Quran. (Torah= Evening to evening, while Quran- dawn to sunset).

Then what is the point of Hajj?

It is simply upholding God's commandment!
There are benefits from upholding God's commandments.
Hajj is very spiritual in nature. Groups of people going to one place, assumingly seeking to fulfil their rights!

2232 God states that by honoring his rites/decrees gains righteousness.
God Bestowed wisdom and knowledge in all things, nothing we do thus goes to vain!

I think what youssef4342 tried to say is that there is no need to exaggerate things. Remember, the reason you are asking the question is not because you found in the ayaats of your Lord. But simply for the indoctrination of your background. I think, the question should be addressed to them instead of an audience mostly believing in God alone.
From my experience, such ideas are destructive. People become arrogant and more careless (wouldnt I be, if I am promised a guaranteed place in heaven)And most certainly, God can forgive you for whatever reason He choose to, after all, He is the exceedingly merciful one. But we should not forget that he is "JUST" as well.
