I think what's so depressing to me is how easily they can throw around the words "kafir" and how someone will "have no place in the afterlife". I can't believe it.

            http//www.sunniforum.com/forum/showthread.php?77928-Do-you-believe-apostasy-deserves-the-death-penalty

            A Quote

"The religion of Islam is the most perfect and complete religion. The laws of Islam are flawlessly designed by Allah. These laws of Islam are for the benefit and of mankind.

Islam induces unity and always condemns division and sects.

Once a person accepts Islam, he sees its beauty and perfection. If after seeing the beauty of Islam, a Muslim turns away from it, it means he turned away from perfection towards imperfection, disassociating himself from the unity of the Muslims ummah towards a way that is unacceptable by Allah.

Allah always wishes good for His servants. By one accepting Islam, he will be Insha Allah entitled to paradise. However, after accepting Islam, one turns renegade, it means he has become entitled to Jahannam (Hell). This is not what Allah wishes for His servants. To prevent more people from becoming true candidates of the fire of Hell, Allah legislated a deterrent for it, i.e. the law of execution.

This law of executing the renegade is a unanimously accepted rule according to all Muslims."

            wow wow wow wow

I am actually in shock at the moment. I have never met sunni's like this. Such hypocrisy...

How did it come to this?

              You're right Tyler.
that what you get for following falsehood. If what you stand for is stating that killing is allowed for leaving faith while life is sacred according to quran and freedom of religion, no compulsion etc. you kinda expect people to know wich time it is but you can't make the blind see, people are willing or are not.

You know what I hate the most in the country where I live and other countries in Europe they are playing the victim role and crying in media about how cruel and unjust the goverment and society is for preaching freedom of believe but that it isn't aloud for them to practice for example wearing a burqa is forbidden or headscarf in catholic schools but if they had their way they would have sharia where murder is applied for people who step out of sunnism ain't that some hypocrisy. That role doesn't suit them to say the least makes me sick.

Haha, I'm actually a member on Sunni forum and the Sunnis on that forum are extremely frustrating to talk to. Good luck trying to debate them.

The people on that forum have deep hatred for Shias, Ahmadis and Quran Only followers.

Maybe I'll join you and have a bit of fun after I'm done with some stuff.

Lol I posted many times on that exact same thread. The vast majority of Sunnis on that site support capital punishment for apostates, shocking but not surprising (for me at least being a former Sunni).

Can you guess who I am on that thread?

And to those who did not accept the execution law, they're kuffar! they're renegade!! we execute them!
                    That's why it remain unanimous!

Islam is a religion of love and peace!
                    All humankind unanimously accept that!

As thus it shall remain unanimous!

According to our observation; the free people of Soviet Union have unanimously accept Kamerad Joseph Stalin as their leader!
As for those who are living in Siberia, they are not free people.

Sunnis are as funny as the communists.. rotfl rotfl

                      Hey Pak!

Are you Joshimitsu? or Kasinova? haha, I haven't read the whole thread yet though!

Absolutely right, and yet, if we were to try and show them the circular logic, I doubt it would work as they would simply label us as kufar!

After reading this thread I'm worried about sharing my own views with the islamic society of the university i just joined. I hope that they will be more open-minded than the people on this forum. Some of this stuff about apostasy is seriously making me feel depressed. (

Yup.. that's how they work. Disagree?? Kuffar!!
Please understand that they're being brainwashed since they were a little toddler.. and within the back of their mind they have this 'fear' of being 'converted from the religion of truth' and being 'condemned to hell for all eternity', IF they agree to your idea.

I was born Sunni thus I know them very well..

But of course not all sunnis are like that.. some of them does 'think straight'.

I was born sunni too, Jaffar, and my family still is, although fairly "liberal" (even though I hate that term because it suggests that they're just not good muslims). Entrenched ideas take a lot of time and effort to come free, you're right.

S.S94 is on this forum too, nice person. I like the first response to her question

I await more competent people to answer your questions above.

However for the record and for others who will come across this thread it should be noted that your thinking and questioning clearly displays that you are a person without knowledge and one who lacks any credible academic qualification.

You intend to understand a entire science using your own reasoning but in what you have expressed are ignorant.

I am also there under an alias. A strange phenomena I noticed that if you accuse them of not being strict enough they have a tendency to listen. Management by fear works good in the sunni forum

                                Salam,

I was born in a sunni family. My family is pretty liberal too. I mean, when they do something or say something regarding Islam, if I show them otherwise from the Qur'an, they do not speak against it just to fit in with the rest of the "ummah". If you speak from the Qur'an, they hear and they obey. I dont get much time with them since we dont live together and live thousands of miles apart. But I pray to Allah to guide them like this, so that they stay this way and never reject Allah's ayaat.

I think you can google out islamic websites and discussions forums and most of them are by nature infected with hadith indoctrination.

I hope ,when you meet them, you treat them nicely and share your views with wisdom and nice preachings

                                Peace be on you

Yup.. it took me at least 15 years..

And also remember that; People generally doesn't value other people opinion, they will value their own opinion..

                                      Wrong start..

Why don't you start another topic of discussion around

                                      1. How should we recite the Shahada'?
                                      2. What are the implication for those who did not properly recite the Shahada?
                                      3. Does Shahada required in order to be Muslim?
                                      4. How does the His Majesty Messenger Of God Muhammad pbuh (Sayiddina Muhammad Rasullulah Salllalhu Allaihi Wassalam) recite his Shahada?
                                      5. How does the previous prophets recite their Shahada?
Post the point above once at a time, take it gently.. Improvise your own..
Remember.. people will only value their own opinion.. do not jump into conclusion too quickly.. let them think on their own...

                                      Salam / Peace

Hey guys! Been gone for awhile, but back. Missed you all

I love the comment about if it is a tradition from a non-muslim country.... WTH.

No offense to anyone, but I have seen some Egyptian traditions that make my head spin. So if a Muslim country has Mother's day like Egypt then it is okay? but not in a western culture.. ..lol

I hate how ppl think Islam is crawling under a rock. But nice topics, I am enjoying and wonder how did I ever manage being a sunni??? I guess when you convert it takes awile to get your feet wet.
