I Think that studying the roots of the words is a much easier way in trying to understand what the words mean.
In arabic as well as other semetic languages, roots are just that! roots which shoot up and spring a tree (common meaning) and branches (variations).Try the Lanes Lexon at http//www.tyndalearchive.com/tabs/lane/
(Click the letters and it will pop up the roots that start by that letter)
If you're trying to study the quran, try www.Corpus-Quran.com*Remember, It is His Most Supreme, High Majesty who bestows wisdom and knowledge, and so it is very lucrative to pray for such!
