    Biblical Perspective Washing

Both the Old and the New Testaments mention many
specific aspects of the contact prayer. For example,
the act of washing to purify oneself before facing God
in prayer is mentioned in Exodus 3017-21, 4030-32,
Psalm 266 and James 48, among others. (Moses, Aaron
and his sons) washed their hands and feet whenever they
entered the Tent of Meeting or approaching the altar,
as the Lord commanded Moses... (Exodus 4032)

    Posture Of Humility In Prayers

References to kneeling and prostration to express one's
humbleness before the Almighty abound in the
Bible, practiced by such notables as Abraham, Moses and
Aaron, Joshua, Elijah, Solomon and Jesus
    (Genesis 173, Numbers 206, Joshua 514, 1 Kings
    1842, 1 Kings 854, Matthew 2636-39, Acts
    2030).

Moses and Aaron fell facedown at the Tent of Meeting...
(Numbers 206)(The people) fell prostrate and cried,
The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God! ....Elijah
bent down to the ground and put his face between his
    knees... (1 Kings 1839,42)

          Contact Prayers (Salat) Divinely Preserved

            Peace GODsubmitter,

            Outstanding link,

I believe that there is divine preservation. Why would one come to the conclusion that during the
historical times of the prophet muhammad that he would have nothing to say during Jum"a (i.e.,
the khutbah) because it is not in Quran?
Despite some biblical corruptions the truth can be found therein if one is guided.
As I noted previously all muslims observe the five positions of salat! can this be a coincidence?
            I think not.

            Peace O0

                    Dear GODsubmitter,

Thank you for sharing your views with the forum.

I was greatly relieved to read that you re-analysed your position on Safar's work.

A great deal of Safar's work is, sadly, sheer conjecture; either that, or he is misinformed.

If the prior, I pray he desists; if the latter, no blame is on him.

Knowledge is power, educate yourself and you will be guarded to a considerable extent against such vulgar propaganda.

"God increases with guidance the ones who seek guidance."

                      Dear @uq,

                      thank you for your post!

Yes dear friend, I did re-analysed my position on Safar's work... and returned to being fully convinced that Dr. Rashad Khalifa PhD is the messenger of the covenant.

We all might have doubts now and then, and we are all searching the Straight Path, are we not?

GOD points out the paths, including the wrong ones. If He willed, He could have guided all of you.

At one point I almost even stopped believing in the Qur'an and joined some discussions on this Forum, only to discover that they proved to be somewhat unfruitful...

So, I suppose one can find a few contradictory posts made by me (and others) in this Forum, as we ponder and examine our research and progress.

I pray God guide us all! group

                      All the best to you.

                      Best regards

It is very important not to add or omit anything during the Contact prayer (Salat) because it is strictly structured and mathematically proven what so say and how many times.

                          Important
                          http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjOxG-cDrGw&feature=relmfu

It is also the combination of sounds and the mystical vibration that emanates from those words that is important!

                            Peace to all

Before jumping to conclusions, please read the following verses

O ye who believe! seek help with patient perseverance and prayer; for Allah is with those who patiently persevere. 2153

we should seek HELP in Prayers as did Zakariya

While he was standing in prayer in the chamber, the angels called unto him "Allah doth give thee glad tidings of Yahya, witnessing the truth of a Word from Allah, and (be besides) noble, chaste, and a prophet,- of the (goodly) company of the righteous." 339

He said "O my Lord! How shall I have son, seeing I am very old, and my wife is barren?" "Thus," was the answer, "Doth Allah accomplish what He willeth." 340

He said "O my Lord! Give me a Sign!" "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three days but with signals. Then celebrate the praises of thy Lord again and again, and glorify Him in the evening and in the morning." 341

Read the highlighted words HE SAID

Zakariya was SAYING to his LORD

He was not RECITING from the Books but saying to the God.

                            Now read this

O ye who believe! Approach not prayers with a mind befogged, until ye can understand all that ye say,- nor in a state of ceremonial impurity (Except when travelling on the road), until after washing your whole body. If ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands. For Allah doth blot out sins and forgive again and again. 443

ZAKARIYA sought HELP in his prayers, and SAID to God

So the prayer has TWO main aspects, besides glorifying HIM

                            SEEKING HELP

                            SAYING to ALLAH.

(the Shahadah in prayer is literally said to mankind and not to Allah)

WHAT WE DO IS RECITE TO GOD FROM HIS OWN QURAN REVEALED FOR MANKIND AS A GUIDANCE ,WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING. (It is totally nonsense)

                            Thanks

Thank you estimated @hafeez kazi for your post and addition.
I say estimated because I greatly appreciated your posts elsewhere, and I am honoured that you wrote on my thread too.

I agree fully with you, although I would like to stress the difference between the prayer dua (or davening), a simple prayer done anytime to speak with Almighty God, from the Salat or the Contact Prayer with prescribed positions and words (strictly and always from the Qur'an only) in order to establish the five daily contacts with Allah.

?No prayer?s complete without a present mind.?

He said "pray constantly" and "forgive and you will be forgiven" and "be merciful and love a lot".

All the teachings of Jesus are beautiful and important.

He was not only one of the greatest prophets, but he was the Messiah, too.

                                http//oi45.tinypic.com/mm95zt.jpg

The angels said, "O Mary, GOD gives you good news a Word from Him whose name is 'The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary.' He will be prominent in this life and in the Hereafter, and one of those closest to Me.

O you who believe, you shall bow, prostrate, worship your Lord, and work righteousness, that you may succeed.

It is so important to be humble, the spiritual arrogance and pride being one of the most dangerous human traits and errors...
What false a notion that human biped has of himself to be arrogant, that curious two-legged creature, to be so proud of his knowledge or intellectual stipulations?
"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." (Letter of James)

Each day I realize more and more how important it is to prostrate and pray God during the five daily Contact Prayers.

Those at your Lord are never too proud to worship Him; they glorify Him and fall prostrate before Him.

I implore God to guide me and grant me knowledge.

These are some of the prophets whom GOD blessed. They were chosen from among the descendants of Adam, and the descendants of those whom we carried with Noah, and the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and from among those whom we guided and selected. When the revelations of the Most Gracious are recited to them, they fall prostrate, weeping.

Very good short article confirming, yet again, that there are 5 contact prayers.
I like the ending of the article which reads

"...to emphasize that these are only reminders, and the Salat cannot be taught or forced upon people, but it is inspired to people by God as it is stated by God in 2173."

Bowing, kneeling, yoshev la'areS, qidah & prostration originated in authentic Torah Teachings (the Torah of Moses). It certainly preceded Islam and Christianity. It is still practiced (to some extent) today and is/was retained by a minority of Jews, even during the Middle Ages. And while portions of this original practice may (or may not have) been copied by other religions, anyone familiar with ancient practice knows we still preserve the original method of prostration. In my opinion, a popular return to proper Jewish prostration or qidah, (which brings about focused, meaningful prayer) will result in a greater level of shifa for the Jewish people (and the world). This translates into a greater level of Divine protection (based on concepts in 'The Guide' / Moreh Nevukhim).

Some MidRaShYm (based on Samuel 12 say that the Temple will only be rebuilt in the merit of prostration.
