Lol. You want to have sex slaves and a misyar marriage and still you insist that you are not a sexist. In fact you are not only a sexist but also a rapist, since you support sex slavery and human trafficking which is rape and a crime in the West.

Well, lets just ignore each other from now. I really fear you would force me to become your 'right hand possession' in the future, so stay away from me, you rapist.

    Bye bye

If you are gonna call me a rapist, I might as well call you a freakin feminazi!!!!! I'm just stating sex slavery was allowed. If you don't believe it, you simply are disbelieving at that point. I personally don't want sex slaves but Misyar is NOT sex its a marriage so stop being stupid Feminazi who apparently likes to partner Muhammad with God.

    That's it i'm done. DON'T FREAKIN REPLY!!!

        Dude.. Show like Seinfeld?
For G-d sake he's a jew.. he never eats pork.. it's not a 'western life' it's more about 'a jew living a western life'..

BTW I'm fond of 'religious satire' and so far Monty Python's 'Life Of Brian' is still the best..

Oh but Jerry wasn't much of a Jew in the show, he ate "crab bisque soup" in the soup nazi episode which crab is forbidden for Jews to eat, so clearly Jerry while ethnically Jewish in the show was pretty secular or irreligious considering he did eat that stuff and fornicated and stuff. Thus average life for a westerner as he that is what he was portrayed as in the end and not really much of a Jewish man even though he said he was a Jew.

            Aryan Warrior,

My advice would be to take extreme opinions with a cool head and just go on with the show. Everything is not black and white as some would have it.

I am keeping these things there neutrally and not glorifying them as that is the real west. Up to the freakin audience at that point. If what I make which has no intention of getting them to do such things and some idiot thinks its okay even though its a fiction and not glorified, then that is their own fault, much like someone who could take a self defence weapon and use as an offensive one.
Exactly, common sense and all...no point in debating it. Also, hopefully the film would be about a central story and peripheral things like someone getting up in arms about some guy with a heineken at a bbq and the ramifications...doesn't really mean much at the end of the day.

My brother recently made his first movie...there's kissing, and the two actors are married in real life...will be interesting to see the reactions. If nothing else, he can then make another one just based on the reactions of the people with the pitchforks.

ooh I got an Admins attention with this topic XDD and wow I like what you got to say here. Tell your brother I said congrats D Though I don't see the problem of kissing as we as Quranists don't see it as sinful unless it leads to fornicating so even if not married, I wouldn't see the issue then. But yeah as that example with the heineken at the BBQ, that is a great example of a Sitcom like comedy with what is common in the west and yet clearly wouldn't glorify it D Thank you ))

Well you got attention with the reported posts so yeah

Thanks. And you'd be surprised at what constitutes haram/halal behaviour etc even within a group termed as Quranists. We may call ourselves different but the extremism ingrained in our nature makes it hard to be/stay balanced. Good luck with your movie

lol well that would be another idea too (might integrate such ideas into a couple idea of the one i'm planning considering it is everyone crazy life with a lot of randomness)

lol didn't think it would go straight to the admin XD mod maybe but wow admin even and best of all you even gave your opinion which I thank you for D And yeah i've noticed that as i've searched up so many older topics. Some take a lighter tone and some can go pretty nuts based and some are quite logical at that. Of course that is what makes it nice here as its not just one view like with strict sunni and shia views but multiple as we can really get our minds thinking. Like this topic alone already surprised me with the amount of amazing examples I got including yours. (also sorry about the reported posts )

Stick to the arguments people. A well thought out argument uses reason not emotionally charged insults. If you have to resort to insinuating things about the character of another , then you don't have much have an argument to begin with.

                      As a side-note, I don't believe in this sex-slave nonsense, either.

And to add to that side note It isn't that I said sex-slaves are allowed, but rather it just stated you can marry your slave in 425 which I get led to a misconception that I should have rather tried to keep my composure and explain then resort to name calling.

Ahh I see, thanks for clarifying. I see no quranic word for 'slave' in that verse, though. That'd be riqab or abid and their derivatives.

Right hand possession is what is used throughout the Quran to refer to slaves and the rights they deserve, which is what is referred to there.

Well getting back on topic, while I understand things now I just wanna know something to confirm in general the idea of encouraging haram so I can rest my mind here

                                1. Like everything else, does one need to have the intention of encouraging haram for it to count as encouraging haram? or would an open sinner for example someone who drinks and others see him and they feel like they wanna drink to after seeing him count as encouraging haram?

                                2. If you believe something you plan to do might encourage others to sin but that is not what you plan or try to do, would it count then as encouragin haram?

                                3. What kind of sin is encouraging haram? is it just another type of sin? How hefty is it? or does one intake some of the other persons sins (not all of it) as to how hefty that would be? and it wouldn't be shirk or kufr as long as you don't disbelieve or think you are the rightful legislator of laws there.

Wao finally we have a sunni here. There is nothing called ''Right hand possession'' in the quran. Furthermore the arabic word for slave is 'a3bed' not right hand possession. Nor does right hand possession means slave in english. Neither can you find this right hand possession word in the quran not even in the translation of freeminds.

I'm the opposite a sunni lol rotfl The word i'm referring to is Ma malakat aymanukum which means whoever you possess so its not just contracted slaves in the Quran. It directly translates to What you right hand possesses. The free-minds dictionary has not translated that to its direct meaning and rather taken upon its own interpretation of the word. I understand that why they wanna translate that to their own meaning, but I think it is a bit dangerous to take up interpreting that when a lot think differently including I who from a historical point of view (not hadith but legit history) but honestly this is not what we are talking about and I rather get back to my topic please and thank you.

I understand that why they wanna translate that to their own meaning, but I think it is a bit dangerous to take up interpreting that when a lot think differently including I who from a historical point of view (not hadith but legit history) but honestly this is not what we are talking about and I rather get back to my topic please and thank you.

Ma malakat aymanakum has nothing to with possessing anything. Would you please stop insulting the quran when you even dont speak arabic. Ma Malakat aymanakum it refers to people who live in the same domain (mulk, hence the word 'malakat&#039 in a righteous manner (ayman, hence the word 'ayman&#039. This word 'righteous' is particularly pertinent because this word is used to contrast with wrongful behaviour (especially in chapter 56). The word 'maa' in the beginning of the phrase shows that it refers to rights of the domain, not to the person (which would then make it 'man', not 'maa&#039.

Here are all the possible ways of translating it

                                        Arabic Literal translation
what your (masculine plural) right hands possess *
what their (masculine plural) right hands possess *
what their (feminine plural) right hands possess
                                        what your right hands possess
Those whom your (masculine plural) right hands possess *

So yeah lol but as I said don't derail the topic as that is something that isn't of much concern and would rather focus on my topic.

The wikipedia link you gave says this The term itself is normally considered to refer to prisoners of war, or more broadly to slaves in general, according to the classic tafsirs. Bernard Lewis proposes the translation "those whom you own," but this is neither a literal nor properly idiomatic translation.

So Wikipedia itself states that ma malakat aymanakum means slaves ACCORDING TO THE SUNNI TAFSIRS. AND THAT ITS NOT A LITERAL TRANSLATION.

That is why I said that you are a sunni. You follow your crazy mullah tafsirs which are fabricated to insult and mock the quran.

And freeminds translation does not use 'what your right hand possession' because freeminders are not sunni like you.

In any case, I would like to remind you that slavery is a crime worldwide, and that you can be sentenced to more than 10 years in prison for keeping a slave.
