Stoning is murder and punishable according to quran

Adultery, sorry. Pity for the person who throws that last fateful stone, my condolences. They will not be spared.
Shalom,
I feel very bad for both parties. The victim, O my God !!! Cant imagine myself in such positions. The people that throw the stones, I dont know what to say...
I tried to reason with such people in my take on the subject of STONING, I personally feel the need to add to the blog post I made for some follow up questions I heard from some of the readers. You can have a look at it and see if I should add anything

The Quran stipulates lashing, while the Torah stipulates Stoning (deut. 2222). God commanded us different laws and rites (54.
The Hadith that mentiones stoning, was talking about how some JEWS came to the prophet, about 2 adultrous people, and he orderded them to be stoning, in ACCORANCE to the rules of the TORAH, because again, they were JEWS.
Is there not a clear distinction between TORAH/JEWS and QURAN/MUSLIMS, and the different laws and rites? (54.Islam Exposed 229A - Sunna Supersedes Quran

http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOTvSlh0lk0Shalom,
I had a discussion with one of the readers of my blog post. What he pointed out was similar to what you said. "Let the people of the book judge by what God revealed there in".
But, to me it did not make much sense. Let me give you an example. What is your criterion as a muslim ? The Qur'an, right ? When anyone comes to you seeking a judgement, where do you look for it ? Qur'an, right ? Lets look at Chapter 5 verse 44 onwards
544 We have sent down the Torah, in it is a guidance and a light; the prophets who have submitted judged with it for those who are Jewish, and the Devotees, and the Priests, for what they were entrusted of the Book of God, and they were witness over. So do not be concerned with the people but be concerned with Me; and do not purchase with My revelations a cheap price. And whoever does not judge with what God has sent down, then these are the rejecters.
545 And We have decreed for them in it that a life for a life, and an eye for an eye, and a nose for a nose, and an ear for an ear, and a tooth for a tooth, and wounds to be similar; and whoever remits anything of it, then it will cancel sins for him. And whoever does not judge with what God has sent down, then these are the wicked.
546 And We sent in their footsteps Jesus, son of Mary, authenticating what was present with him of the Torah. And We gave him the Gospel, in it is a guidance and a light, and authenticating what was present with him of the Torah, and a guidance and a lesson for the righteous.
547 And let the people of the Gospel judge with what God has sent down in it. And whoever does not judge with what God has sent down, then these are the wicked.
548 And We have sent down to you the Book with the truth, authenticating what is between your hands of the Book and superseding it. So judge between them by what God has sent down, and do not follow their desires from what has come to you of the truth. For each of you We have made laws, and a structure; and if God had willed, He would have made you all one nation, but He tests you with what He has given you; so strive to do good. To God you will return all of you, and He will inform you regarding that in which you dispute.
549 And judge between them by what God has sent down, and do not follow their desires, and beware lest they divert you away from some of what God has sent down to you. If they turn away, then know that God wants to inflict them with some of their sins; and many of the people are wicked.
550 Is it the judgment of the days of ignorance that they seek? Who is better than God as a judge for a people who comprehend?
So, what I can expect from a prophet is that he allows the people of Gospel/Torah to use their books for their judgements. But, what I cant expect from a prophet is when people come to him to seek his judgement, instead of judging according to the truth revealed to him, he is diverting them back to gospel/torah. What was the point of bringing those people to Muhammad ? Did not they have their priests to judge with Torah ? The whole issue of bringing anyone to Muhammad has to be to seek the judgement he provides on the particular case. And if his judgement is not according to Qur'an, he is a kafir, fasik and zalim according to (544-4. Which I dont believe he was. The story of that hadith looks to me like an attempt to carry on "stone to death" by the impostors in the name of Muhammad.
It should be easy for anyone to get what I am saying. These people blend books of historians with God's words. As a muslim, would you tell them that Jesus died for their sin ? No, you would use the Furqaan in your hand to refute it, to correct it. The whole idea of giving you the book is so that you an judge using that (yourself and others). And when people come to you for judgements, if you dont use your kitaab, you should return it to the store where you got it from. I can allow people of other faiths to carry on judging based on their books, that is ok with me. But I cant allow myself to judge using their books.
PEACE

I would have to kindly disagree because stoning was cited in the NT. Jesus clearly did mention Stoning in the NT.
There are many punishments by stoningIdolatry ? Deuteronomy 172-7; 136-10 (Matthew 7-11)
Sacrificing children to Molech ? Leviticus 202-5
Prophesying in the name of a foreign god ? Deuteronomy 131-5
Divination ? Leviticus 2027
Blasphemy ? Leviticus 2415-16
Sabbath breaking ? Numbers 1532-36
Death caused by an ox ? Exodus 2128-32
Adultery ? Deuteronomy 2222-24
Rebellion by children ? Deuteronomy 2118-21For those who consider Stoning to be an over punishment I would think that God Almighty Was trying to make an example for these people. Imagin, being killed for picking up sticks on the Sabbath Day. Would any human stipulate such laws?
We also have a seemingly "unfair" Punishment in the Quran, the story of the Knowledgable Man that Moses Followed. He KILLED A BOY! Imagine! Is this not injustice? The Boy has not commited a crime (yet), but he was killed anyhow because of his eventual Wrong doings occuring in the future time, if he were to remain alive (1880).
Similarly, i would think the Stoning was a clear punishment to deter people from doing wrong. Obviously you would be more inclined to Not do something if your life was at stake, then lets say, you would be only lashed 100 times for it (that's not counting for God's Wrath/Anger & punishment later on in life)! Moreover, to Student of Allah.
God Almighty seperated us into diffferent Groups and factions (4914) and gave us Different Laws and rites to test us in what he has given us (54.Say, 'O People of the book, you have no basis UNTIL you uphold the Torah, the Gospel , and what has been revealed to you from your Lord." And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people. (56
***We Also see that
"But how is it that they come to you for judgement while they have the Torah, in which is the judgement of God?.... (543)"And let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whoever does not judge by what God has revealed - then it is those who are the defiantly disobedient. (547)
***Thus, the Jews should not consult the Quran for judgment, unless they want to submit to God (2477) and follow the Quran 6155) Moreover, Muslims should not Go after the laws of the Torah (e.g stoning adultrous, day of Atonement, Circumcision etc. ), when we have a Fully detailed book, that's not missing anything (63, and that is what we are accounted to follow (6155) .

I beg to differ on philosophical grounds about the UNFAIR PUNISHMENT thing.
You see, the creator of heaven and earth annihilating even the universe itself can not be compared to the civil laws that He gives us to use among us. As human beings, we do not have the ability to judge like HE does.
Lets consider the final hour. Is that not a universal genocide ??? YES if we do it, NO if HE does it. Because, nothing is either good or bad, but thinking makes it so. (probably Shakespeare said that)
Just as I have full right to format my computer's hard drive without any guilt, God can format the universe (including you and me). But any software on my computer erasing other software without my consent is a malicious one, its a bad one. I do not give them such authority because their judgement are not like mine. And I am the one that sets the rules, not them.
Morality is a relative/subjective thing concerned with lower level beings. The laws are for us, not for Him.
So, from a philosophical perspective, a person appointed by God to carry out a task is answerable to NO ONE.
Before we glorify us to the extreme, let us ponder over the observable universe and understand that we are not even a speck of dust in this HUGE universe.
And, about the "LET THE PEOPLE OF THE BOOK JUDGE BY WHAT GOD HAS REVEALED..." thing...let me re-quote if you have not read what I said
So, what I can expect from a prophet is that he allows the people of Gospel/Torah to use their books for their judgements. About the Unfair punishment I was commenting about Jafar's stating that stoning is one of 'false' commandments.
I disagreed on that because there is mention of stoning in the NT and Jesus. I would think my notion came from the belief that stoning is a harsh punishment. I cited some of the stoning punishments, and one act of this punishment took place with a man who broke the sabbath day by picking up sticks. My point was a refutation against Jafar's Notion that stoning is one of 'false' commandments that were added by scribes.
IF you ponder about the Knowledable Man who killed a seemingly innocent young Child, you might have came to the conclusion that Everything Happenes for a Reason.
As for stoning, i also stated that "you would be more inclined to Not do something if your life was at stake, then lets say, you would be only lashed 100 times for it " (in the case of adultry punishment of Torah & Quran).About the Ruling, When the jews came to the Prophet (an assumption based on the 543), the answer was,
"But how is it that they come to you for judgement while they have the Torah, in which is the judgement of God?.... (543)In the so called Hadith, (this is from my feable memory) the Prophet Muhammed ordered the Jews to BRING the Torah, and READ the Punishment for Adultry.... Thus it was the TORAH which ruled amongst the JEWS that came to the Prophet Muhammed. We are not obligated to follow the Torah, because the Quran (Alone) is our LAW that was given to us.

Salam,
I think 543 is mearly exposing their disbelief and rejection of the Torah and Gospel.
I don't have much time to explain but the Quran, in its completed form is THE message to the world. Jews and Christians, who believe in and correctly understand the previous revelations WILL believe in, accept and follow the Quran alone. They are required to believe in the Quran and thus follow it, not the previous, corrupted versions of the Torah and Gospel of today.

The above highlight is from me, that part shows that Allah's judgement are not different in His Books. And I don't find Mohammed or Prophet in the aayaats quoted
