    peace,

I'm curious if anybody here has heard of or knows of somebody being killed for rejecting the ahadith of Bukhari and friends and following the Qu'ran, excluding Rashad Khalifa, as far as I know he is the only one they managed to kill for being apostate of Sunnism in that certain sense of just throwing out the ahadith, please respond if you got any information

    thanx

Wasn't Khalifa killed because of the fact that he claimed to be a prophet?
Or was it because he rejected the ahadith? The latter seems rather unlikely in contrary to the former...

I think it was for both

I dont have any references right now, but I remember hearing of a few people being banished while others were arrested for printing material talking about such things. I believe one such person was Kassim Ahmed, author of the book Hadith A Re-evaluation. As far as I know this book was banned in Malaysia and the author was arrested in his home country. I don't think I have heard of any instances where someone was killed for rejecting traditional hadith. Perhaps, others can contribute more information?

            Peace!

I remember reading something from a foreword in his book also. I heard (on a bbc radio interview a while ago) of some egyptian guy also who got exiled for rejecting hadith.

Oh, I thought someone was saying that he was currently in prison. Thanks for the clarification.
