Timing of Salat and Missing Salat?

Where does it say you need to get up in the morning, evening etc...?
I know some verses say something like Do salat in morning and night (etc...), but that is actually translated as from morning till the night, it is different. Whether you take it as dawn and afternoon respectively

Hmm that makes sense, but i've seen some say that it states that it goes from the start of the first light in the sky to sunrise. So wouldn't that mean it is seperate? Though I may be wrong, can you bring up the verse?
As well why do you feel that salat isn't needed at all?

I don't feel salat isn't needed, I think salat doesn't mean prayer. Prayer totally goes against any reason I have and I cannot believe in it.

Alright but why do you think its not needed? I am still learning myself and would like to know? The Quran states that we should do salat, but what is the reason that tells you its not needed?

I wasn't saying salat isn't needed, I was saying that salat doesn't mean prayer.

Right I understand that, hmmm I guess I must have misunderstood that part XD but okay so you are saying that it can range from before sunrise till sometime at night. So therefore if one was to do salat just once between that, it still works?

It depends what does salat mean.
Someone translates it as commitment, someone else as desires etc...
So from that first persons' translation it would mean Be committed from morning to night, which is just a metaphorical way to always be committed.There are other definitions as honor and support or them seperately, which in this case would be translated as Honor and/or support from morning to night etc... Hope you get my point.

I looked on those links and I do not agree with any of them. To answer the question. I believe that if you miss prayer through illness or forgetfulness, it's up to the individual if they want to make the prayer up. Those websites seem to be leading people further away from Allah, liking Allah to light or energy. Just my opinion.

That's one of the reasons why rituals can't be true... they're like, you know, rituals. Just my opinion

Just because it is your opinion does not make it true. All through Al Quran, The God repeats verses, why? Because we are forgetful and need remindiing. There is nothing wrong with connecting to The God throughout the day. It helps us to remember The God. If it becomes ritualistic and feels like you are going through the motions, then change the way you connect with The God. Say something different each time. But I truly believe from what I read in Al Quran that connecting is an integral part of our commitment to The God.
