Repentance while doing another type of sin?

This has been bothering me.
While I try my best as a muslim and repent when I make mistakes, there are some things I haven't been able to fully stop and thus it is a sin when I do it.
so what I am wondering is repentance from a sin still accepted even if I am not stopping from an all together separate sin?
I have heard this is still valid but I would like to hear some opinions.

God does not burden a self except its endurance/capability , for it what it earned/acquired and on it what it earned/acquired. Our Lord do not punish/blame us if we forgot or mistook/wronged . Our Lord and do not burden/load on us a weight/crime , as you burdened/loaded it on those from before us. Our Lord and do not burden/load us what (there is) no power/ability/energy for us with it, and forgive/pardon on us, and forgive for us, and have mercy upon us, you are our guardian , so give us victory on/over the nation, the disbelievers.God is mercifull and he knows about your situation. It takes time for everybody to be better muslims and stay away from what we learn is sinfull. Everybody have their pace and learning ability. Ask God to make it easyer for you to stop doing what you think is wrong, and trust Him. Dont forget he is Alrahmaan Alraheem.

Sounds good, but regardless I want to know if repentance for a sin is still acceptance if one persists in a seperate one still?
Let me give an example (I don't do this so don't question it) One who repents from zina but still continues to drink alcohol. Is the repentance still accepted?

So if the subject used to be a zani and he is not a zani any more he has been forgiven the zani part. Were it no so, nobody or almost would ever be forgiven anything. It is not contumacy, it is graduallity. Our whole lives are about that, about jihad for improvement and and forgiveness.

Yeah the traditionalists probably got to me again. It didn't believe them but it did scare me when I was told that you have to stop ALL sins otherwise you aren't forgiven if you just stop one of your sins and ask forgiveness for that. Of course all they brought up was this one hadith which even many of the traditionalists skipped past that and didn't agree with it surprisingly.
Regardless considering there is no Quranic verse that says repenting for as sin won't be accepting this is what truly makes sense ) Thanks D
