I was hoping one of you could help me find a Quranist website that gave instruction on prayer in Islam. The website including diagrams along with references to the Qur'an. The website also had an article explaining music in Islam.

    Peace !

It's instructions on prayer looked similar to this page

Detailed instruction on how to pray...
A common question being put forward by those who are accustomed and grow up in organized religion centric society...

The question by itself is mind boggling.. for those who are not accustomed to 'organized religion'..
To them, the question is as silly as asking for "Detailed instruction on how to talk to our parent'.

Nonetheless, to answer the main question, there are no 'standardized detailed instruction on how to do quranist prayer'.. feel free to choose anything which brings comfort to you.. You prefer to pray like the sunnis, pray like the sunnis, Prefer to pray like the shiites pray like the shiites, Like christians? Pray like christians, you prefer to meditate like the budhist then meditate like the buddhist.. etc..

          Salam / Peace

            peace man,
if you are looking for standard salaat actions, then listen
they are standing, kneeling and prostrating.

it is that simple!! do not follow the people, follow only Quran!

Maybe you should actually read the Quran and try to understand what prayer is and why all Prophets, Messengers, Angels and believers do it according to God's teachings, before spreading your ignorance.

Maybe you should stop trying to play the smartass when you fail hard at it. You're the most ignorant here.

Praying is for men not men for praying...

Muslims prays in myriad of ways..
Yet the true objective of praying is not to earn 'credits' which might earn them Heaven as reward..
No matter how hard the burden of life being put upon you, praying shall give one a feeling of comfort, peace and happiness.. which hopefully shall resulted in good deeds..

There are no 'standardized' or the 'most right way' to pray as it goes back to the individuals...
Praying is an intimate and personal moment between the creation and the creator..
And no one else besides those two parties has the right to judge whether his/her praying is 'correct' or not...

i was going through some difficult times - clinically depressed. went to the mosque for tarawih prayers. at that time i used to wear a 'hijab' but felt claustrophobic having my ears covered. so i wore my 'hijab' in such a way that only part of my ears were covered. after the prayers were done, i was waiting for the crowd to clear when one of elder women from the mosque approaches me and tells me that God won't accept my prayers. She explained that part of my ear lobe was showing and so my prayers were not valid. So God doesn't care about this young depressed kid who sought comfort. all that God cares is if my ear lobes are showing!

just another moment in my life that lead me to see God's Truths. koran mentions standing, bowing, prostrating, what tone to use and also what to say. so if you or your family decide ok - let's all pray together this way which may be very different than how i or other's pray but doesn't matter as God is not concerned about numbers, forms, attire and such.

Beautiful! This is the whole point and purpose. In the end we should be careful to not judge others and their relationship with the creator. All we can do is to do good ourselves, advise others but not judge... because we simply don't know anything, and Allah knows all. This is one aspect of humbleness. And it is very ironic... I have seen people who are observing purdah, wearing hijab and what not, beards and the whole kit... and I have personally heard them say that being nice and good doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is the five pillars... and I have heard people say that there are people who travel the world striving to help others in need, exposing themselves to danger while doing so, but they will go straight to hell because they are not muslims. Isn't this the height of arrogance!? It still baffles me to hear from so called pious and righteous people. They have missed the whole HEART thing. Sad to see how they prefer knees, elbows and foreheads before the heart.

Our challenge is to soften and open our hearts to our creator. There is more love, joy, wonder and happiness out there than we can imagine. It's indeed a wonderful journey, but it takes conscious effort and work... but this is what brings us success in this life and hereafter.

                            Peace to all

Praying is for delusion not for muslims who know the truth.

                              Praying =/= remembering

I remember Allah a lot without praying.

And how is prayer supposed to make you feel better? It obviously doesn't. That is really high delusion you have there

Praying is a man made concept, it is not divine.

perhaps the question to be asked is what is prayer?

you can pray lying down, sitting up, standing on your head, walking, and so on. when i am dealing with a particular difficult situation,, i turn to God asking for help and his strength (that's prayer). when i am upset, i ask God to help me hold back my emotions (that's prayer). when i talk to God throughout the day (that's prayer). remembering God and turning to Him is praying which you can do in any state.

now, i beg to differ with those who state that the koran doesn't specify ablution and physical form of worship. ok God doesn't need us but we need Him. for me this type of praying is stopping, hitting the pause button in the course of the day, clearing your head, engaging in 'meditation' physically and mentally surrendering yourself to God, and asking God to help you avoid the sins, and should you die in the next hours to make your exit be with honor.

point of praying is to attain piety and righteousness. now, question is do you really need to engage in this kind of worship/praying to attain the ultimate goal? my answer is a 'no'. it is though a good thing.
