put aside the translation, which i find some oddities, will come back to this inshaallah when time allows..
but i do respect the translations effort put..when i was in that old sect i was definitely categorized in the first, there was always a reason to pick on someone on the miseries that the ummah befallen to.. not knowing that the miseries were caused by the ummah itself..
from though the second verse is not so obvious, reflecting on the current conditions of the ummah there aren't much of pride left to boast about.. but then again which pov of ummah..
but from a quranic pov of ummah, probably there is a danger to fall from the notion of immortal/ever lasting triumph over the other part of the world.. arrogance might creep up..then decadence..wallahua3lam
