We have sent it down in a blessed night. Surely, We were to warn.

23 years or just one night ? Which is correct ?

          Salaam,

Didn't you know that it was revealed in 1 night from the 7th heaven to the first heaven and then in 23 years from the first heaven to earth?

                23 years.

I don't doubt the general framework of Muhammads history given in hadith and sira even though i reject hadith as an authority.

How long did it take to reveal the Quran?

the quran took hundereds of years, every messenger added some, the quran contains the injeel and torah and other books,

the biggest problem no one wants to realise, is that the language of the Quran, is the 1st language humanity ever known, it is not arabic language, but universel language and every language of the world is made from the quranic language , including english and modern arabic 'sounds crazy', the truth always does

And of course, ALLAH knows best

                    Peace truthsearcher,

This is what the Qoran says (First it was put into Muhammed s mind/heart all at once)

Most glorified is the One who summoned His servant (Muhammad) during the night, from the Sacred Masjid (of Mecca) to the farthest place of prostration,* whose surroundings we have blessed, in order to show him some of our signs. He is the Hearer, the Seer.
*171 The Aqsa Masjid'' means the farthest place where there is prostration,'' . This verse informs us that Muhammad, the soul, was taken to the highest Heaven to be given the Quran (2185, 443, 531-18, & 971).

We have sent it down in a blessed night, for we are to warn.

Your friend (Muhammad) was not astray, nor was he deceived.

                    533
Nor was he speaking out of a personal desire.

                    534
                    It was divine inspiration.

                    535
                    Dictated by the Most Powerful.

                    536
Possessor of all authority. From His highest height.

                    537
                    At the highest horizon.

                    538
He drew nearer by moving down.

                    539
Until He became as close as possible.

                    5310
He then revealed to His servant what was to be revealed.

                    5311
The mind never made up what it saw.

Then it was released slowly ( So it can be memorised and written down) according to GOD s commands, using Gabriel

Say, "Anyone who opposes Gabriel should know that he has brought down this (Quran) into your heart, in accordance with God's will, confirming previous scriptures, and providing guidance and good news for the believers."

Do not move your tongue to hasten it.

                    7517
It is we who will collect it into Quran.

                    7518
Once we recite it, you shall follow such a Quran.

                    7519
Then it is we who will explain it.

How long it took is written in history.(Really how long is irrelevant since GOD did not put iti n the Qoran.)

                    Peace.

So too much 'latency' between heaven to earth..
They need to upgrade the network between first heaven to earth..

And.... after the message arrived on earth... it also suffers from 'packet loss'... ))

                      Salam / Peace

                        Jaffar funny as ever,

(Allah) Rules the cosmic affair from the heavens to the Earth. Then this affair travels to Him a distance in one day, at a measure of one thousand years of what you count.

so if 1000 years of Jaffars count = 1 day
                        then 23 years = ?

I think that network is not that down grade rotfl
