Someone asked me a Q about these verses, and after a brief study, I felt it was sufficiently interesting to merit a mention

So glory be to God when you retire and when you wake.
And to Him is all praise in the heavens and in the earth, and in the evening and at midday (thhiroona).

So God's praise/glory when you enter into the evening and when you become (awaken) in the morning .
And to Him (is) the praise/gratitude in the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, and (at) evening/first darkness and when you cooperate/support/help (thhiroona).
thhiroona is in the imperfect active form of azhara vb. (IV). Similar to the occurrences in 933, 4026, 4828, 619, 7226.

This word can also be translated as prevail, uplift, disclose, set above, appear.
Thus I would amend M&S Ahmed's to
And to Him (is) the praise/gratitude in the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, and (at) evening/first darkness and when you appear/reveal.
Thus implying when one is in darkness/evening and visible (i.e. in daytime), thus in a continuous manner.
