the best feeling when you know you are not alone .....

only if we come out of online forum and start mingling among ourselves. hope to see the day soon where we have a place and community to call it ours and for us to socialise, prayer hall/mosque and the least to marry which is again a quite an obstacle to physically find someone from submitters to date.......... lol

You are definitely not alone. I feel alone too sometimes..but this forum is a great place for us. I agree with the post above that we should come out of the woodwork at some point! Though, I think I am too scared to even speak out about my beliefs at the moment. -[

Peace makk,
You are not the only one that feels this way. I think a lot of us think about whether or not we will ever have the opportunity to marry someone that shares our beliefs.
Peace.

Peace,
I have come out of my shell just a bit at work. People began asking why I took off my scarf and I shared with them my understanding and reasoning. Keep in mind there are two other muslim women who cover at my job, and two brothers, so I am sure that word will get around as to why I feel the way I do. Well, little did I know there was another muslim woman that worked here and she too stopped covering. She now is the head of a major program in Washigton D.C., and I have seen her before...I wonder if she too is a Qur'an only muslim. Sorry, got off track there, but I can understand the resistance to speak out on your beliefs. I think as long as we keep it respectful and point out that we understand both sides of the issue, we can minimize any argumentative behavior.
Of course, we will ALWAYS have those sectarians that won't hear a word we say and will immediately become defensive. May Allah guide them to the truth.
Peace,
Amina
