Lemme see... we are both from (and live in) the US. We both have young children--my youngest is 3 (and another on the way, ISA sun. I came from vedanta to Sunni, then quickly to ALLAH alone, and you came from "Hindu" to Sunni to ALLAH alone. The friend who gave me the name "Abdul-Hadi" is a Sufi.

It's kind of nice that you come from a different environment. I delved into trying to understand other world religions, and did come across Hinduism and Buddhism..
The one supreme God (Brahman?), split into 3 (Brahma/vishnu/shiva), then having different forms of avatars, and these avatars could be worshiped?Excuse my ignorance but Maybe you can clear things for me...
Also the cast system doesn't sound too hot either, especially for the "untouchables" class(?), as i have read in the book "Holy Cow"... -

Yes, I've seen people from many different backgrounds coming together to worship God alone! yay I was just telling my husband about that a few months back.

I am a God alone Submitter from the States! I was raised "Hindu"...converted to Sunnism..toyed with the idea of Sufism..and now here I am. Anyway, I've been lurking on here for quite some time so I am familiar with some of you.
