I was a little on you tube and now I'm frustrated and shocked and saddened. After the Reading of such docus I sometimes quietly feeling that we are wasting our time discussing, whether Mecca was in Becca or not, Kaaba and its mysterium, Jesus = Isa, quibla, Muhammad, the one who praised or the praised one......
We are credulous people = we believe - but what has genuine faith to do with with all this discussions- This German doctor (video link below0 who is now 80 years old and spent his last twenty years in order to explore the consequences of the Gulf War and the Iraq war and to document the suffering from the Uran abuse...- he may not have time to read the Quran, but he is human and struggling with his own life. Goes to jail at 70, hes life almost in danger because he speaks. and i discuss with Sunnis about whether i should stick to the Hadith or not, rather than MAKE PEACE AND COME CLOSE TOGETHER AND SPRAID THE MESSAGE WHAT IS-WE ARE ALL HUMANS AND SHOULD DO GOOD
what is going on-a million children die of hunger, millions of people are poisoned or intentionally contaminated or killed and I sit here and have everything and discuss often about rituals that don't touch the faith in GOD ALONE and are secondarly...
Allah does not say" to them what they have earned and you what you have acquired ..."
WHAT DO I HAVE ACQUIRED? Recognition for my articles that I write? i have a excuse to tell- a bad husband who don't let me go out?? yes it's right, but...should not a believer fight against injustice? This is part of our faith. (I read it at the beginning of Sura 41 Fussilat i think, )
i feel really sad. thoughts?

really our planet is the hell- no need to create one- and do i have an excuse in the yaum al quiama?? do i can hope for salvation, when i DO NOTHING???? ( ( ( ( ( ( ( ( whatever -
Well, what you say many peole think. We ask ourselves what should we DO, what can we DO?
Mostly I answer that, after some mental struggling I really don't know.
And inevitable it is very personal and very complicated. Are we able to do what we think we should do? Can we break away from the things and duties which keep us on the track we are?
I am touched by your message, Mirjiamnur, and I really don't know.

These are all distractions. The reason for this strife is presented in the quran
3039 - And whatever you lay out as usury, so that it may increase in the property of men, it shall not increase with allah; and whatever you give in charity, desiring allah's pleasure-- it is these (persons) that shall get manifold.
Many claims to the truth, very few executing the will of the absolute truth.
The solution to this entire non-existent conundrum is the path of selfless service. You see, something I've learnt thus far is that those already on that path do not feel these traps, distractions and struggles.
All of these duties and struggles do not exist. Regarding society as a whole - Your 9-5 is not serving anyone or doing anything useful. Your mortgage is evil and you will be questioned about this and sorry to say but a lot of people will probably be severely punished for this. Your car payment is absolutely useless, your greed for food and lack of desire to learn about what you put into your body is the primary means of attack for the Satan. Your false friends with false desires who you can see destroying themselves in plain sight, are not truly your friends and tomorrow they will be your enemies. Your desires to look good to others, accumulate wealth and appear as the most pious might decieve other ignorant humans but God is the one you cannot fool and God is the one that truly matters. All of these 'duties' and 'responsibilities' are nothing but satanic distractions yet to your average 'good muslim' this is all that matters.
In fact I had a conversation with a random guy one time who really opened my eyes. He himself was heavily invested in charitable works and gave me the figure - are you willing to lay aside your needless fineries, and share 80% of your wealth to those deserving? And well, many talk the talk but surely it's long due time that we walked together.

Peace All.
This is worth few minutes of my time. Let us start by being nice to everyone. Those close to us and those we meet every day.
Let us be "God concious" in whatever we seek to do. Let us Be helpful, kind, respectful, patient...

the answer is yes.You speak as if you know me. You asking me among luxury and false friends and that I want to do good, to be seen. But certainly not, and God is my witness.
I left Switzerland, because I hated the materialism. I came here (EG) and found it even more. I find that most Egyptians have chosen a new god the money ... It is to weep.
I have swapped the wealth with poverty and do not miss the money nor the luxury, I just miss THE SPIRIT.
I live in a house, which would be demolished in Switzerland for a long time ago . We live very modestly, that's not the point. I have seen by my own eyes, how Allah gives you supply when you have nothing and still give sadaqa.Nevertheless, I feel as a big MUSCHRIK and am not even able to defend myself for me and my children, for my Pharaoh (my husband) has everything under control. I feel as if I would lose the dunja and the achira just because I have not the courage to stand up. or maybe i just lie to myself?Where is a will , will be a way.
You say we must not do good- we must do good, but not for show
Allah says in the Quran many times Amanu WA amilu SALIHATI - what does this mean for you, if not do good??
It is enough to look at the suffering and then shrug to turn to me and say Allah has made hell and paradise for this purpose. Can I call myself Muslim if I just accept all suffering as God's law and not try to help somehow?sorry off topic, actually, back to what's important?
For example, I have discussed with my husband yesterday. His answer you're better than the Prophet? first you have to talk to people about Islam, he says so, the talk on Islam, Deen comes before personal or physical help. which I can not agree. For many people doing good means speak about Islam, Dawa, pray, charity (in fact they do not for God but for Hasana, i.e. for themself), for me it means first selfless assistance OF LOVE FOR GOD AND RESPECT ALL HIS CREATIONS , and not to get to Paradise.
here there is a great conflict that affects me personally, since I am in a total demise of my husband and can not break out of this without losing my children.
I am constantly in a conscience conflict. ( (Peace All.

this is really the main question
Are we able to do what we think we should do? Can we break away from the things and duties which keep us on the track we are?
can we or should we or must we - what Allah He want from us?
Salam an thanks -
Salaam, Marjiamnur,
In fat I think you are admirable. You struggle and you ask yourself. That is jihad, you struggle with your husband and ask yourself what you can do, that is jihad. Your children need you and you struggle not to deprive them, with them you have your first duty, they are needy, like any needy.
As for your husband, do not feel responsibility for his deeds or thoughts. Just that you try to keep yours from his dictates is the one thing you can do, if you can.
We cannot make this world different from what it is, we can make ourselves, to a certain extent different from what we are. We have our jihad, but the outcome of it is in God's hands not in ours. We will see the results of our struggle, but may be not in this life.
Have some peace of mind, you are doing something, may be we all can do more, but we are not responsible for the success in this world of our efforts. God wants our efforts, of the results He is the Malik.

Salam,
I wish, we as a community are in a position to bail out ( legaly, financialy, socialy n emotionaly) such a situation like this which i believe hundreds of people are going through as a reason of choosing to follow the God alone part causing conflicts in so many ways.
May Almighty Allah provide us the means n will to achieve such a possiblity sooner than later -
really our planet is the hell- no need to create one- and do i have an excuse in the yaum al quiama?? do i can hope for salvation, when i DO NOTHING???? ( ( ( ( ( ( ( ( whatever
Salaam Sister
I'll give you some of my thoughts. Your questions are not easy.I think we have to do like Moses in the story of the so called Kidhr (18-65 to 18-82)
We have to accept that we will not understand everything and that God has a global schema we don't know. What i want to say, submitting to God is submitting to the straight path he indicated for us and let him choose our trajectory.
The straight path is to submit to God and only God and to do good thing because we believe in him.The final justice is for the judgement day.
18104 "Those whose efforts in the worldly life were wasted while they thought they were doing good!"
18105 These are the ones who rejected the revelations of their Lord and His meeting. So their works were in vain, and We will not give them any value on the Day of Resurrection.
18106 That is their recompense, Hell; for what they rejected and for taking My revelations and My messengers for mockery! It is probably difficult to accept. But people doing good things can go to hell if they don't follow the straight path.
Rejecting the ultimate Justice while calling for justice on earth can be considered as perversive message. Many people who never heard about or read quran will go, i think, to heaven if they believe in a unique, invisible, powerfull and just god, in the judgement day, never associate other educators (Rabb) than that God to that God and do good actions in name of God.
That God can be found in other books than Quran.
Reading Quran doesn't guarantee Heaven if we follow, in name of God, what he never asked for.I was a little on you tube and now I'm frustrated and shocked and saddened. After the Reading of such docus I sometimes quietly feeling that we are wasting our time discussing, whether Mecca was in Becca or not, Kaaba and its mysterium, Jesus = Isa, quibla, Muhammad, the one who praised or the praised one......
To have the final response to these questions is not important for me. My only conclusion is that human lies are huge and perhaps it has the profound meaning that only God is true. People who put their faith is story of prophets, in false rituals will all be deceived. The messengers of God they whorshipped will testimony against them.
23115 "Did you think that We have created you without purpose, and that you would not return to Us?"
23116 So, Exalted is God, the true King, there is no god except He, the Lord of the noble Throne.Doing good things is not the purpose of life.
Doing bad things is not the main purpose of Satan. Distray from the stright path is his mission.4220 Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter, We will increase for him his harvest. And whoever seeks the harvest of this world, We will give him therefrom, and he will have no share in the Hereafter.
Good against bad may be a false religious schema.
God never said in Quran "you are here for doing good things" but he said "you are here for worshipping"
If humanity worhipped God as he told us, good would be done for good reason.
Doing good for bad reasons enforces bad reasons and enforces doing bad for bad reasons.God can always give to others humans more than we can give. When you give sadaqa it is you who get Zakat.
Our first task in our life is to save our own spirit. It is not a selfish Task. It is not an easy Task.
Many are those who think they have already succeeded.Peace

No I was not talking to you specifically, that statement was at society as a whole. The reason for the 'ummah' being like this is purely because the majority live the lives of sheep, following trends and not thinking for themselves. Living in vanities. But fundamentally PROFIT SEEKING IS WASTING LIFE. This is my entire point. All of what you accumulate in this life in terms of wealth has no life to it. All of this suffering occurs because of profit seeking, directly or indirectly.
Why did the slave trade happen? Because people wanted increase in this world. Why do sheikhs corrupt the ummah? Because they want increase in this world. Why are so many people depressed, suffering from cancer, diabetes, etc? Because the pharmaceutical companies want increase in this world. Why are we running on oil and gas when we already have various renewable technologies? Because those barons & magnates want increase in this world. Why do people work a 9-5? Because they want increase in this world. ALL of these things are pure satanism and society as a whole is to blame. Not this illusory thing called 'society' but PEOPLE. Walk down the road. Pick twenty people at random. A good portion of those are going straight to the hellfire.
As for 'looking good' I meant physical attractiveness, social status, displays of wealth, etc. On top of creating the impression that a person does good deeds. Like I said, ALL profit seeking is empty. Not empty as in there is no pleasure in it, but empty as in blowing dust in the desert or urinating into the ocean. Absolutely purposeless. And the thing is, we have a purpose. So if you spend your time doing purposeless things, then death is coming at you full speed and every second you work purposelessly is a second you could have worked towards a purpose eternal.
And you see your husband as an opressor, why don't you leave him be and do your own thing. Doesn't mean you have to divorce or leave your children, just be your own person. Where there is a will, God creates a way. To him his deeds, to you yours. Mother, father nor son nor brother or sister are going to be matter on judgement day. You're on the internet, you can make changes happen anywhere in the world from your desk, don't even need to leave the house!
And then your husband asks 'you're better than the prophet', well go tell him to read the damn quran. Nowhere in quran is it said that ANY prophet is the highest of the high amongst human beings. ANY human being has the potential to exceed in rank before God each and every single human that came before themselves, prophets included. We all have the potential and ability to make Jesus look like Hitler. So keep that in mind, your potential is limitless, so why will you fall into the ploy of limiting yourself? Which of the favours of your lord will you deny?

I am really enjoying this thread and it's allowing for a big reality check.
IAMOP, your post is difficult to read because it's hard for me to comes terms with the fact that what you say it very true. It scares me. Perhaps, it scares me straight to some degree.
"The solution to this entire non-existent conundrum is the path of selfless service"
Right on. However, I am so weak. I get caught up in my worldly desires. I try to make up for it by giving charity, helping people around me, etc. It's just not enough, is it? I like going out and helping within the community...but I still feel like it's never enough. I enjoy dressing up and looking nice. I like having nice things for my house, and I like driving a nice car. Yet, somehow, I feel guilty for all of it. And for all we know, I may be dead tomorrow, having done very little that is good in this world.
Mirjamnur,
You need someone to talk, then you can pm me. Your husband does not let you go out at all? I was thinking..since you live in Egypt, there must be organizations that could join to help the poor/destitute? I would tell you to go for it and do what you think is right, but at the same time, I do not want to put you and your children at harms way.

Peace.
You should just do what you can.
Yes, stand up for your rights and beliefs, if you think you have a basis.
You are not alone sister, it seems that a number of us, including me, have gone through hardship and tested and tried on a number of times. Stand up, defend yourself. Fear no one but God. The worst they can do is kill you."Fear not those who can kill the body. but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 102
Just go out and do good, and whatever happens happens. Pray to God, and ask others for help.
Don't be afraid, be stern and don't fear... we only live for a short while. Stand up for what you believe in!Do you expect to enter Paradise without being tested like those before you? They were tested with hardship and adversity, and were shaken up, until the messenger and those who believed with him said, "Where is GOD's victory?" GOD's victory is near.

thank you all so much for your kind and good answers.
I sometimes see all negative and how Realeased said, guilty for what I still may wish l = in comparison to other. And what IAMOP say it's so true. Since one and half years, I have also started to live my own life, I met all my duties as a wife and at least try to do something for my children and speak from the Deen how i understand it , as huruf already said. we live as it were in the cold war, but did not argue anymore with my husband.
I lI just have the feeling, what I do is not enough - so was my original question was What is really important?
Thanks again and Salams -
