Strive hard in God?s cause, with all the striving that is due to Him. It is He Who has elected you to carry the message and has placed no
hardship in religion, the Creed of your father Abraham (227.God requires us "Strive hard", ie pass through a difficulty. But in the same verse says that "...and has placed no hardship in religion" Please explain.

Some religions make it difficult for their subjects, like inventing rules, traditions and so on.
God is saying He made no hardship for you in practising your true deen/religion if you follow what Abraham did -Submit and strive for God Alone. Do not follow man made religions, they make things complicated.
Life is hard enough earning a living/ social pressures... Being a slave to man s religions will make it even harder. Only trust in God.

we should strive for God-we should actively try to do good, to spread peace, to live according to the Quranic teachings and spreading them with wisdom and prudence. Not to proselytize, but live submission as long as we remain on this earth. In this way we will experience many hardships, from people, from societies, from leaders... we will experience disappointments and have achievements .
God gives us hope and the confirmation that, although sometimes it can be hard on his way-He will always stand by us and a life in the Deen should not be difficult. Many people and clergy especially have a tendency to complicate things and create new laws in the name of religion, which is contrary to this statement of the Qur'an.

Well, this is my interpretation
I think that there is no hardship in what God expects us in regard to the commandments, prohibitions, suggestions, etc. However, life can often throw hurdles which are difficult to bear, and so we must strive hard and never forget why we are here, and who we worship and ask for help.
