Salaam,

Salaam,
BenderI think Alex.M is our young Sister, but I still don't know for sure. welcome dear Alex.
I found it unfair that women are the ones who practically had to cover each and every inch of their body just so men don't lust after them, while men could go around practically half-naked. Where was the equity?
Back to the point. That's where I found the Hadiths, the things it said about women, their enslavement to men, all of those things. I felt offended. I tried to ignore the worthlessness I was feeling, the nagging at my mind that repeated how unjust all of this was. I had minor emotional breakdowns and all of that.
Those are the feelings can be felt by girls/women, if they know more and more about the hadiths, meanwhile at the same time they were taught to accept it, to believe that the hadith is the truth saying of the messenger who carrying the messages of God.
It is not easy. Even I still feel it sometimes, because many translations of the Qur'an are still supported by the hadith.

Peace Alex.M
You're truly an inspiration.
I pray that God keeps you firm on the path, lil brother.
All the best.
Usamah
Thank you so much for the welcome. )

Yup! Young sister. ) Thank you so much for the welcome. I suppose I could agree with you on that since I also feel that way sometimes, but I always end up reminding myself that God doesn't judge us by our gender but rather our righteousness and deeds, and that women and men are both equal in God's eyes.

Peace sister, my most warmest welcome. I can see the wisdom in your words, I am not going to say that you are too young to have it, because I know that God gives wisdom to whomever he wants and retains it from whomever he wants.
And I agree with you. I believe that God will not judge the flesh but the soul, and that men and women differences are only in the outside, but that deep inside the soul is not different. Prophet Isa is said to have said in mattew 2230 " For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven".
The next is a verse I made about this issue of equality, I made it in Spanish so the English rhyme is not the best, but the essence is there.
Equality
He who believes that God will make difference between man and woman
Farther astray he could not deviate
He who makes difference between this two will be truly far astray
God has never said that the body is what He will judged that day
But the soul from it that He will liberate
The body on earth into dust will decay
Once it ends deep down into the grave -
I wish I was where you are now when I was 12! masha Allah. Welcome abroad!

Welcome Alex! You are very brave to start questioning your parent's belief, mashAllah. 12 can be a difficult age to "go against the grain" as they say, keep this in mind. I wish you the best of luck. May God be with you always.
Salaam.

im new here too. i've had doubts about these hadiths too.Welcome brother! ) I barely knew anything about them until late 2011 when I decided to research more on my religion, and you can say, that's pretty much the short story of how I found the truth.

Salaam.
Thank you. ) Yes, I know. Truth be told, I sometimes kind of envy (in a good way) people whose families follow God and Quran alone. Same to you too, sister/brother. )
Peace and welcome)
