Quranic prophecy coming true?

Let's look at verse 355
when Allah said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.
Emphasise on the part ........ make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve UNTIL the day of resurrection.........
To me, this is a clear prophecy that Christians, as a whole, will remain superior to all other faiths until the end of the world.
North America, South America, Russia, Europe, and Australia are Christian majority parts of the world. We can all agree that these countries, as a nation, are materialistically superior to other parts of the world. (only exception is central Africa). Their citizens on average, enjoy a higher standard of living. They are the creators of the Western Civilization, which, keeping aside multiculturalism BS, is undoubtedly superior to civilizations of the east.

All the Muslim Ulema, Scholars taken together have projected to make the Muslims as followers of Muhammad instead of "The followers of Quran". Anybody, a layman, walking on road if asked "Who are Christians?". He would reply "The followers of Jesus Christ?", if asked "Who are Muslims?" The reply would be "The followers of Muhammad". BUT as the master distorters and misinterpreters (of Quran) the Muslim Scholars, Ulema are all are unanimous and vehement in denying that Christians are the followers of Jesus Christ, instead they say, "We the Muslims are the real followers of Jesus".
If we take the "follower of Jesus Christ" simply as Christians, this prophecy clearly rings true.

Exactly! So what's your problem those who hail to ALLAAH don't see any reason not to follow. sun
Here is one scenario
Mahdi (Arabic ‎ translates to 'guided one', with hadith being the primary source of his descriptions. His appearance will be the first sign of the third period. Hadith write that he will be a descendant of Muhammad through his daughter Fatimah and cousin Ali. The Mahdi will be looked upon to kill Al-Dajjal and end the prevalent disintegration of the Muslim community to prepare for the reign of Jesus who will rule for a time after. Our Mahdi will have a broad forehead and a pointed (prominent) nose. He will fill the earth with justice as it is filled with injustice and tyranny. He will rule for seven years.

Though the duration of his rule differs, hadith are consistent in describing that Allah will perfect him in a single night with inspiration and wisdom, and his name will be announced from the sky. He will bring back worship of true Islamic values, and bring the Ark of the Covenant to light. He will conquer Istanbul and Mount Daylam. And will Eye Jerusalem and the Dome as his Home. His banner will be that of the prophet Muhammad black and unstitched, with a halo. Unopened since the death of Muhammad, the banner will unfurl when the Mahdi appears. He will be helped by angels and others that will prepare the way for him. He will understand the secrets of abjad.

but are the Christians really follower of Jesus? and is Jesus who they follow the same as ISA in the Quran?
