Nice quote es. I think it takes courage to work through doubts which are challenging to one's long-held understandings. Sometimes this forum provides new directions to help work "doubts" through, and provides a plethora, to say the least! of knowledges gained, through constant examination of GOD's life-long study course, the Glorious Qur'aan.

The admins. here have set a very liberal and democratic example of allowing so many voices to be "heard". Thank you Admins.!! sun

I was afraid for many years to read the Qur'an in case I found something in it which would lead me to reject it. Many years later, I found the truth to be liberating, and found that the Qur'an just being bound by the shackles of hadith.

      bravo

Does falsehood not always perish. Why would you want anything less for yourself other than the truth. The truth is liberating; liberate yourself

"Cherish your doubts, for doubt is the handmaiden of truth. Doubt is the key to the door of knowledge; it is the servant of discovery. A belief which may not be questioned binds us to error, for there is incompleteness and imperfection in every belief. Doubt is the touchstone of truth; it is an acid which eats away the false." (Robert T. Weston)

        very good

I used to have a doubt,
and of course I was afraid,
would I make the right choice?
and how would I be paid?
an angel came to me and said,
you just study and you pray,
don't worry about your doubts today,
        let God lead the way.

        Trust God

To doubt is natural/human. The Quran contains stories of the prophets in this regard.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

Thanks for your long reply Zulf. Peace be with you. I cannot really convey the overwhelming feelings of kindness I am having towards you to be honest!

God says that he will lead us to "our" people. In you all I feel I'm home and we will all go together inshallah to our real home and walk with our brethen of the older generations and ultimately be in the presence of our LOrd! Ameen

I have to add though I have ridiculous moments of doubt then undeniable conviction. I do try and strive but ultimately my biggest and most detrimental enemy is my mind. You are so right in what you said about trying to free oneself from the shackles of the shaitani mind. I am constantly being attacked via this route and boy is it hard as you actually feel like you are going mad.

I'm not mad I think I hope! Lol

            Peace to all

            A

How does one transform doubt into conviction (Yakeen) ?
Should one suppress it and hope it goes away by alone. Or Face it... ?
              if so how ?

There is absolutely no doubt that the liars who created the Hadiths couldn't change the great reading. We can often reach conviction by contrasting lies to truth. Everything serves a good purpose in the big picture.

              Peace,

              Ayman

                Salam.

Suppressing doubt it dangerous. It's just another form of ignorance and bias. If Islam is the truth, then naturally no matter what doubts you have as long as you research it without bias it will all make sense. If it doesn't make sense you have to either look at Islam or yourself.
