    Peace all,

This is not a new topic, yet I still can't find a straight forward answer, silly me p

Me and BF are both believing in GOD alone, however I practice it as a muslim as I have been taught since I was little ( with the 5 x per day prayers, fasting, keeping away from un-halal food/drink etc) while he practises it in another way. He was born in a catholic family and I was in muslim family. He doesn't go to church anymore unless invited to a wedding/christianing/funeral. If I could I would say that he's a muslim in heart as he is a truly honest, patient and generous person. Both of us believes that we can build a good family together and we have trusts in each other.
However as my family are all muslim, they believe that I should marry only muslim (the one who says the khalima syahadah and prays 5x a day and all that)
He suggested that we get married in a civil registration court, so no religious ceremony involved.
I do not want to hurt my family especially my parents by marrying him at civil reg court but I dont want to have him lying in front of Allah by saying khalima syahadah if he doesnt believe in those words.
If we are married in civil court without the Islam ceremony, am I going to have zinah everytime I have intercourse with my husband? If we are married in muslim ceremony wouldnt I be doing zinah too as he's just lying when he says the khalimah syahadah?

A bunch of thanks for each one of you who spares time for giving me your advices/feedback.

        Salam All
Am back! And Yes finally we're married! Just a month ago to be honest as traditional wedding back home takes like 1 year preparation!! But God really gives us His blessings.. My husband had to convert in sunny traditional Islam way, but he said that he did it with his mind kept open and didnt feel any pressure so that's good I guess..
It got a bit complicated when we had to do jamaah prayer in my parents home.. He usually prays meditating-way, not the traditional Islam way.. For us, as long as we believe in what we do and we mean good, that's what matters..

THis year will be our first ramadhan as married couple.. He never fast before in his life... I told him he could choose to fast or not to fast.. the message in fasting is self control and so far I see him doing self control very good, much better than I do who fast every ramadhan hahaha...

So thank you all for your help and advices, you guys never know how much you helped us making the decision...

        Salam
