You are free to disagree with it.

I think I disagree with it, yes.

You people disgust me so much.

ermitted for you (in the) nights (of) fasting (is) the approach to your wives. They (are) garments for you and you (are) garments for them. Knows Allah that you used to deceive yourselves, so He turned towards you and He forgave you. So now have relations with them and seek what has ordained Allah for you. And eat and drink until becomes distinct to you the thread white from the thread black of dawn. Then complete the fast till the night. And (do) not have relations with them while you (are) secluded in the masajid. These (are the) limits (set by) Allah, so (do) not approach them. Thus makes clear Allah His verses for people so that they may (become) righteous.

Apparently not clear to everyone though.

Is it that you're a weakling and cowardly? You have some great love of food that you can't even restrain yourself for a few hours? That you'll never know in person even a fragment of the plight of the poor, only the plight of those who have decided not to talk or the mute, when food fasting was well understood and then explicitly described?

Who follows "noshirk" in this practice?

You're not at all ashamed of yourself? How does your mind work? I really wonder. What goes on in your head? You don't want to fast, and so you find excuses not to fast? Right now billions of people are not eating, some because of they can't, others because they aren't eating due to the fast, and you're sitting there and eating and drinking and typing even and what are you learning or practicing? Practicing how great it is to not make any sacrifices?

Why then do you even do worse, and try to mix up and include the Qur'an in all this or Islam? You simply want to eat food constantly, so eat food! Why do you have to try to use the Qur'an, when you're just an endlessly hungry person?

Will your hunger ever be sated?

I agree with you FreedomStands, you have made my point about preferring
truth over falsehood, we counter falsehood with the truth as per Quran,
but stay calm and know that you cannot guide those whom Allah has caused
to stray, all you can do in a forum setting is to make your point by giving
food for thought. (no pun intended)

      God bless

            Peace,

See!!! This is what happened if you fast .

BTW, your post that I agree with most of it's part contradicts with this. Why don't you take here that people are doing what Allah has shown them as truth? Why you want to go against the guidance of Allah that He guided to people? How you call names to those who sincerely trying to follow the guidance of Allah? Is it not good to put forward your personal understanding instead of shouting and taking out your frustration on others? What do you know about others are you an aalimul ghaib?

May Allah increase our knowledge and guide us on His path pr
            mmKhan

What do you mean? Allah has guided some people to kill the innocent and harm others, am I to say that is good and fine and say nothing?

The verses in the Qur'an seem pretty clear about mentioning food and drink and then ceasing food and drink during the period of fasting, nothing at all about talking in those references.

It is my duty to try to say the right thing, at least it will be counted towards my credit, while all the wrong things the other people are saying will perhaps be counted against them.

I brought up points so that people (a guest was viewing this thread which is how I got here) might re-consider when reading this and not think that fasting means not talking.

This website is a hub for misguiding people, and many new Muslims come here too. Yes, Allah will misguide whom Allah wills, just as Allah has placed some of us to speak the truth and fight against misguidance.

Did Allah not set up adversaries and liars who are meant to be opposed?

It is our duty to speak out against falsehood and the prominent in misleading people, and if your voice can't be heard then speak up louder.

People are starving in the world man! Fasting for me isn't difficult, but people who seem to me to be lying to people regarding fasting is very disturbing to me especially when so many people are fasting in the world right now and besides that many others are genuinely starving or unable to purchase food even, even some of the animals are hungry right now, and this is a time of great heat and suffering to be considerate and compassionate and strong.

The ones who don't do it, remind me how those who didn't go to war and stayed back home are berated in the Qur'an too.

My attitude is totally Qur'anic, still even, and the Qur'an and the Prophets go ahead and even curse people for their various things.

I didn't go that far, because I don't know what Allah has planned for these people who try to turn people away from fasting and praying. They may be devils, and of course they may not know it.

Of course, I may be a chief devil, but I'll do what I do and they will do what they will do, and one of the things I will do is fight those I deem to be lying misleaders.

You all can practice your "lukewarm" version of things, neither fasting, nor praying, nor doing anything particularly, even communicating on the computer while apparently not supposed to "talk", "not supposed to talk with our voices, he could communicate with signs, so we can communicate via typing" lol What a joke.

Maybe you'll all have miraculous children too just like those pious people? Maybe your children will be Muslims if you aren't already.

You even call prayer a Burden when it is a FAVOR. The angels praise and pray unceasingly, they do not flag or weaken, that is a gift from Allah, that is not a burden, it says it is only difficult for those who aren't humble.

You think that as a person gets more righteous, they leave off prayer, they leave off fasting, they leave off discipline, they leave off everything? That is so backwards. No, as a person gets more righteous, they increase in prayer, they increase in fasting, they increase in discipline, these "burdens" are the gift of Allah.

We become MORE slave like, more humble, not walking around with dirty anuses thinking we are the righteous kings of the world.

God has corrupted some of your minds it seems, and yes of course, you'll not be released from that unless God wills.

Did that stop the messengers from giving the message? Did that stop them from saying LISTEN! Make sense! Come on!

Yes its futile, for you maybe, but not for me, if I am right, then my speeches are an increase in goodness for me, a practice that garners reward, and not only that, but I read them too and learn from what I write.

Do you see yourself as a devil? When you make little snide remarks and smile to yourself? How is it that you're so bold to bit by bit leave off the whole religion? That boldness is incredible! Only a person who doesn't fear God could be capable of being so incredibly bold, to leave off prayer, leave off fasting, leave off everything (I know you haven't left off prayer yet, I think you said).

I make jokes too of course, but I think they are a bit different since I'm encouraging an increase in things if anything, not a decrease or elimination of fasting, praying, etc.

              @ FS

I'm not always agree with mmKhan's understandings, but remember that we're in the learning phase,

so, perhaps our current understanding about "fasting" also has flaw (which we don't aware of),

even though I do want to follow the best understanding,

and I think it's better if we are careful (speak wisely) if we speak to other people who have loyalty to Allah, in my current opinion, mmKhan is one of them.

He prays at least still. I think its a major sin though to try to get people to stop praying or fasting etc.

Hmm... it could be (in my opinion) - if their understanding of those matters are indeed wrong.

But, personally, I think those who commit terrible sin (which I think also our worst enemies) are those who dishonestly make effort to make other people disobey God (and/or make other people heedless about God), especially those who do that in subtle way.

I hate people who "attack/oppose" God in subtle way - reminded me of poisonous snakes.

Me too. I guess these people are sincere at least, but then even the ones who would try to attack/oppose God covertly must think they are doing good.

The Qur'an, as I read today, said that they think they are rightly guided, so genuinely think they are doing right or good. It would be strange for a person to be doing what they actually don't want to do or think is better, people always tend to follow what they want and think is better or smarter or whatever.

What bothers me about these characters, even if they are sincere (which I think they probably are), is they try to turn people away from fasting, praying, and other things like that, when people are visiting this site who are confused already and want to learn about Islam and there are people saying prayer is a burden rather than a gift, and to leave off prayer entirely is righteousness, and to leave off fasting, etc. I find them to be big devils even if they don't know they are and think they are very right, they seem to be fearlessly bold in even daring to try to take away prayer from people.

If I see a girl in hijab, I don't try to tell her to take it off, or even if the person is following Hadiths if they are doing righteous conduct I don't try to tell them to stop.

How could I ever feel right telling a person that the truly righteous don't need to pray and that people should reduce their prayers and then cut them off entirely?

How could I tell people that you are better off not worshiping God?

How could I tell people that they should forget about fasting and just not talking is good enough.

Or that somehow nobody understood what was being said when Misr was being mentioned even though that was the common word used to refer to Egypt in even the earlier Semitic languages like Hebrew.

These people are perhaps sincere believers in all this, but they are too bold. I think if they existed in the time of the Qur'an it would likely have spoken out against them.

The Qur'an even mentions people who forbid the taking of the names of God, those who tell people not to pray, and Shaitan telling people to disbelieve and whatever or trying to make people do shirk as some have even gone into on this site thinking they have some power to manipulate even by their thoughts as if they are "co-creators" or Gods or something, the shirk has come into the picture in many ways.

My views are straightforward and straightforwardly Qur'an based too (mainstream translations)

There is only the Supreme Allah, not being a creature or form of any sort, having power over everything and being omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent etc, what everything exists within and exists by.

That there are angels, jinn, and humans, as well as other animals, and that there is the Earth we live on.

That there is Shaitan, who is a jinn given an extended life, who operates plans to spread corruption and prove the humans are evil who are evil.

That revelations have been given throughout history, that the revelations always promoted the same religion and practices, standing, bowing, prostrating, fasting, and all the rest (as can be historically verified too pretty convincingly).

That the prophets, we don't distinguish between them, and they all brought the same message and were all good, sincere, nice people who God made nice people and made messengers, there was nothing involved except God's grace on them, they didn't make themselves prophets and no one can.

That Muhammed is the last prophet, there are no further Prophets and the Qur'an is the book he brought and there are no further books after the Qur'an though there can be continuous wisdom and good sayings, the Qur'an is the last revelation.

                    Stuff like that!

That there is no sex before marriage, that there is no adultery, no fornication, no alcohol, no pork, no lying (unless part of strategy like in war or to save one's own life or people), no cheating or defrauding, no stealing, keeping to what the Qur'an says, no spreading corruption or promoting evil or tolerating or supporting it the way that Lot's wife was a supporter.

That the Qur'an in its mainstream translations is generally acceptable for the most part and not a cause of trouble as much as perhaps some of these re-interpretations that are trying to spread that fornication is ok, that every sort of sin is fine, that pork is fine, that alcohol is fine, that not praying is fine, that not fasting is fine, etc.

That such people who do that, even though they may think they are righteous, are deep in sin for spreading corruption and things that would not particularly help anyone (making people more like the kaffirs).

                    etc etc and etc!

Yeah. In the case of those who don't want to pray, I think they should not pray at all, but when it comes to a world program, my calculations seem to indicate that prayer is better for the people and communities who want to do it than to leave it off and be more like the drunkard disbelievers/confused ones.

So I find that the Qur'an, in its mainstream version with the mainstream Islamic practices aside from some of the stupid ones of the Hadith, are actually good for society, like regular meditations, fasting for a month of compassionate consideration, charity, etc etc.

I find that promoting the leaving off of such things to be not particularly beneficial or producing really disciplined or good people who are reminded of God throughout the day, keep from evil at those times etc.

                            Freedomstands,

But meditation, reflection and contemplation is not ritualistic prayer. I have never said a word that you cannot do that or even speak out loud to your Sustainer, only that even if you do not then your Sustainer knows what you wish and need without you mentioning that. Constant repetition does not really help either.

The point with Quran is that people are confused into believing there are rituals in it and may be begin with something which is merely a distraction. I briefly begun with the ritual salat between the years 2011 - 2014 (although the last year I continued "in case of" I was wrong) and if Quran was properly interpreted I would not have been deceived that the Sustainer prescribes such a dubious practice.

If people rather reflected and considered upon what they can do to prevent themselves from doing the sins which are stated in the "Ten Commandments" then they need no religion with all its rituals. Meditation you can carry out without doing some fancy movements and parroted words. Many do this prayer ritual and feel proud they are so pious too. But the Sustainer cannot be bribed through mere words such like you could appeal to an ancient king. The god concept is clearly man-made and resembles the prostration you would do to a king to make the king pleased and milder. The Sustainer has no such ego nor any needs for that sake. Only results prove anything, i.e. to clearly become perfected or at least as perfect as you can.

Glorification I call attempts at bribery. Why do it to an intelligence that you cannot appeal to and fool through mere words. The Sustainer can abstractly read your mind and see you honor it without any artificial physical rituals.

                            Be well

                                      Be well

I don't think of it that way though, even if that is in the imagination of some people. I take it as an expression of surrender (prostration) and making statements of the truth as reminders (praise).

I don't say praying is not required straightly, but I say in my personal understanding, this is a burden. I am not bold like you saying fasting means abstaining from eating and drinking or whatever. How do you confirm this? As you said, there is nothing static, then why are you promoting it? It may change anytime, no?

Was it not said by one mmkhan (Maximillian Murgatroid Khan?) that the more righteous people will have prayed eliminated and won't need to pray or fast but for now those people who are burdened or something have to do it? It doesn't matter, it wasn't really particularly about you or anything. Why would I be frustrated that a person doesn't pray? The majority of the world doesn't pray, I don't want them to either really though, its not like I want to see their skins, maybe just their blackened skeletons!

These are nasty jokes mmkhan, don't worry about it. Isn't it clear to see who the real devil is always? Its me! FreedomStands!

I encourage you to call me names, whatever names you please.

Why not Salafi Jones? Hadithi Joe, or The Prayer Promoting Pitbull.

What about Thomas Terriblegod, or Saleem Unsalami.

Did something I write offend you? Is it that you feel I was misrepresenting your views or something? Then share your views, as you have been, I'm always interested in hearing them and then responding in the way that I do, but I sincerely don't mean to offend you really, that isn't my intention.

I've not meant to really call you any names, did I directly call you any names? Did I really ever say you are a devil?

I'd never really say such a thing to you, it would be like calling you handsome or something, and I'd really only say that about myself.

I've been called "ferocious" "follower of Satan" and other things like that on this website, I'd never give any of you such honorable appellations.

I pride myself on being a Satan working for the Supreme Satan, remember that it means enemy? I work as an enemy to all that I deem evil. It is nothing personal. I don't really care who you are or not, except if you were my slave, then I'd want you to look good, and have some sexy dark oiled skin, nice muscles, hard worker. NOT A LAZY CRYBABY! I SAID NOT A LAZY CRYBABY! I AM NOT SAYING YOU ARE A LAZY CRYBABY! I AM SAYING THAT I WOULDN'T WANT YOU TO BE ONE! If you were my slave.

Yet you're not my slave, unfortunately (it would be good for you, Maxmurg), so instead I end up not directly caring about you but views which I MAY BE IMAGINING based on something you've said. Not "your views" just "views like that" if anything, like those I mentioned, it doesn't matter really if you are involved or don't do this or that, I am just saying that to view worship of God as a burden and a curse (not what you said), would be a bad way of viewing it, and the idea that the more righteous leave it off (which you also may not have said) is also a backwards idea in my opinion. I didn't mean to wrongfully accuse you of such views, you're not very important in the whole thing, its just the views I am attacking mainly, and anyone who might hold such views would be backwards and evil, and if you do not hold such views, then what are you worried about?

Now let me say, to comfort you, dear sweet delicious well-fed one (yes, you better be careful about eating so much or I might just gobble you up when the fast breaks!)

I view things both ways genuinely, and try to master the evil and the good and harness it to my benefit.

So instead of you saying it, let ME say it I believe PRAYER is a BURDEN, and a SLAVISH ONE AT THAT.

How! HOW FREEDOMSTANDS! HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT OH DEVILISH SALAMI FREEDOMSTANDS!

Because my MASTER is a SLAVE OWNER and we're on the PLANTATION. We are cursed, as the angels are cursed, and we toil and we war as our God has put various yokes around our necks.

IN HELL those blind ones are made to SEE THEM since they are the kind of people who need to SEE to BELIEVE.

We're always wearing them though, our slave collars, and we march around the clock, our lives, SLEEPING, WAKING, SH*TTING, WASHING, PRAYING, EATING again and again.

                                          It doesn't end there!

So yes, the formal worship can be considered a toilsome burden, an explicit expression of our REAL PLIGHT in life, a reminder that we are slaves. That is one way to view it anyway.

Oh FreedomStands! I don't know what to think about you FS! You scare me! You really make my loosely knit underwear quiver!

THEN LO! BUY TIGHT BRIEFS, AND KEEP YOUR TESTACLES IN CHECK!

If you aren't an evildoer, then why should you worry! Plus! Who cares! Its just words!

I can't do what I'd like to do to you!

I certainly wouldn't want to kill you!

I'd want to control you! As I've said before, make you my obedient slave who does exactly as I say!

I'd make you smile, and give flowers to people, and walk around gracefully, and say kindly things. Oh and I'd make you worship like a robot, with sincerity like a robot, weeping with devotion like a robot, acknowledging the God who made you a slave, who brought you into existence and made you suffer and know that God alone is the supreme power who does whatever God wills.

Ah, and how terrible a nightmare is it for me, that I should forget the nature of reality, the nature of reality which in this case does not change, that GOD is the King and Master, and that I am the groveling slave, who eats dirt if that is what my Master feeds me.

YEW HU DEEM THERSELF SELF SUFFICIENT!!

So please, don't get all agitated, I command you not to become agitated! Do as I say!

Think of what a beautiful world it would be though, were you my well oiled slave. Muscular, strong, healthy, happy, completely soulless and devoid of any remnants of your past self, only a pristine example of beauty, perfection, and utter service to good. Compassionate to the animals and the humans, groveling fearfully before God, and we would then be brothers finally, since I too, though a demon, am a groveling and long suffering slave of the Lord of Torment.

In one video game, they have named one character Molag Bal the Lord of Rape.

Is it you who chose your plight in life? Your body? Your nation? Your time? Your sickness? Your health? Your eye color? Or did your parents? Did you choose to suffer? Was it forced on you without your consent? Even talking to me, you might wish I never existed and we never had this conversation, yet its being horribly forced on you. Is it me who wants it? Nah! I don't! I want a world of beauty, peace, and pleasure that is truly STABLE. Is such a world possible? Perhaps, but only if God wills it, and the same can tear it away! Such is the eternal destiny of ALL CREATURES/CREATIONS.

Also, I don't have a beard nor follow Hadith really, and my pants are so above the ankle that they are completely nowhere to be seen.
