Cannot find verses that Lane refers to...

Hi-

I find that Lane's verse references to the Quran are sometimes off by a verse or two (anyone know which version of Quran he used?!), but in this case, I cannot find a verse anywhere near that seems applicable to his reference

Lane refers to 2138 and 3138 (see top of 3rd column http//www.studyquran.org/LaneLexicon/Volume7/00000081.pdf)

Can someone please help me find which verses he is referring to? I believe the two verses he cites are supposed to be examples of (if I typed that correctly), which he goes on to say ""

The only verse with the word in it, is the verse 2211 below.

The verses 2138 and 3138 listed in Lane are most probably printing mistakes.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I agree that it seems likely there are printing mistakes, but I suspect that the mistakes are the verse numbers cited.

I suspect that there are two verses which Lane is referring to (using incorrect verse #s) with his statement

If by "his statement" above you mean " ", that is not a verse or part of any verse in The Qur'aan. It is only a SAYING used by Lane here in comparison regarding the word "" which is found only in verse 2211, and nowhere else in The Qur'aan.

Yes, I actually became confused for reading Lane's Lexicon, it's not because I don't know Arabic, but because my english is poor and the Lane I got is PDF version with slopping words written on it.
