I am a 22 years old student from France. I study mathematics with a greater interest for physics also.
It is nice you are from South Africa, I have been interested by your country for a long time to come to study there, but I found at the university they look to "give advantage" to students who go to study rather in Europe and in Northern America and Australia. They don't seem to send students to South Africa which I find a bit strange by the way.I plan to come soon this year to your country, and I would like to know if you know French students who come to study in Port Elizabeth or in other cities in your region, if there is an important community/association of French students for example. You know just small details, but I am French so I wouldn't like to appear as a student who doesn't want to fit in the South African culture, I am very interested by it and find it very original, besides that I am curious if I could meet French people in your region.
For now, you are the second South African I met here, there is also a member al-amiyr who gives lessons about a lexicographical model here and who is from South Africa. South African people look rare on forums
