maximum posts per day

Yeah 10 PM's per hour is an issue. Will raise that up.
I think you meant minimising the number of posts per day.
It would be awesome if people would generally impose principles of quality instead of quantity themselves instead of there being additional rules/changes to limit interactions to achieve that however subjective quality. Less rules are always better as a rule imo. There is hardly anyone who posts close to or even more than 25 posts per day btw. How would you decide out of the listed choices which is the optimal amount of posts for optimal quality across the board and why?
As I recall, during certain debates in the past, people participating in such would post more in a day than usual and it was kinda fun, like a flowy conversation not impeded by thoughts of dang it, my limit is upon me, guess I'll have to leave that dig/point from the other party till tomorrow and suffer a sleepless night tortured by gloating images of smug, grinning heads just because I was horrible at balancing my output... gah, reminds me too much of budgeting/accounting in rl which sucks horribly. I'm awful at it. Or in other cases, when someone else was at it, we could leisurely sit through the drama without fear of it ending for a day on a cliffhanger for unnecessary/arbitrary reasons. Hate it when that happens too, try to avoid watching episodes when they air just so I can watch it all in one go.
Why must we go through these scenarios when rl is bad enough with limits as to what I can do, I ask you. Don't want to be reminded of it here as well! It's like when games force you to budget your party food and/or torches for a quest. One is like, it's not enough to actually be good enough to kill those hobgoblins and one eyed giantesses, now I have to decide how many lunch deals/lamp oils to get? so for how many days will I be roaming around in that particular dungeon? or should I just upgrade my armour/weapon instead with my gold? how do I even know the amount of time it will take me if I haven't played this quest before? or what awaits me in those deep dark depths?...an irritating mini game all on it's own. I avoid roguelikes as well. Dragon's Dogma is oh so annoying yet strangely addictive, must be sweet, sweet Julien...ahem getting off topic now.
I'm a fan of people figuring out a balance themselves, and not having to impose any further than is strictly necessary. I'm also a fan of a more spontaneous flow than having to create an atmosphere of a stricter, more formal nature if you will, which I think it might lead to. It's off putting to have more limits/rules that someone else decided is optimal for you additionally, especially when it has to do with something relatively relative as our thoughts of what constitutes quality. Heck, I could spam 5 smiley's in a day, keeping to a limit, and think it a quality response for example P In conclusion, I don't think this is necessarily a good idea in my opinion.

Might be a good idea for new comers for like a probation period but sounds complicated
Yeah, you'd probably have certain newbies using their 5 posts per day for example to create introductory threads and bravo's and sun's on others before they are allowed to unfurl their true potential P
Sure it could be done with minimal off putting potential, but not sure if it's worth the hassle tbh.

Salaamun alayki sis,
RED I did not do a scientific study on it, just asking what one think is the best option based on their feeling.
I already gave you the "why" see my OP. My "why" is also not based on some study just saying what I think at the moment. RED D Yes that is the punishment for those who can't balance ;D
And it is also a good lesson in learning to have patience yesBLUE what is rl?
why do you always use abbreviations/acronyms? You think you know what they mean thus everyone must know what they mean >Why must we go through these scenarios when rl is bad enough with limits as to what I can do, I ask you. RED you are very deeeeep ;D I need a couple of days to comprehend this.
I wonder from were you got so much deeeeeep wisdom hmmHeck, I could spam 5 smiley's in a day, keeping to a limit, and think it a quality response for example In conclusion,
I prefer from you 5 smiley's per day then to read once in a year such a allegory as above yes

salaamun alayki sis,
Is there a limit now? If so what is it?
I also like to know what you think where the line is between posting and spamming. The content of the posts don't matter, For example I could post every day 100 posts with 1 ayaat from The Quran thus with good content but it is still spamming in my opinion.
salaam,

W/s bro,
RED I did not do a scientific study on it, just asking what one think is the best option based on their feeling.
I already gave you the "why" see my OP. My "why" is also not based on some study just saying what I think at the moment.
So you think 3 (which was the only vote when I read it) is optimal? See this is why we need to figure out the why, because when we do that, we maybe come to realise that it really can't be any given number across the board for all people...unless it's 25. and since no one really does that anyways, does it really make sense to have that in? What if someone is participating in a debate and it's a fast flowing one...more than 5 posts or even more than 10 in a day all precise and hitting all the right quality spots? Why limit the poor guy based on some conceptions we have of 'patience makes everything better' when it really might not be an issue of patience at all but that of one person who's out to kill everyone's fun and free flowin' flow who insisted that we have 5 posts or 10 for optimal qualityRED Yes that is the punishment for those who can't balance ;D
And it is also a good lesson in learning to have patience yes
You must be great at parties tooBLUE what is rl?

Lord give me strength. The analogy is useless budgeting for useless reasons which the devs (developers) think adds to the game/forum but really doesn't. You're just jealous of Julien, like you were of Legolas. It's alright.thank you for being my fan
I'd like to blow you away if I could >RED you are very deeeeep ;D I need a couple of days to comprehend this.

My ancestral rug of course.I prefer from you 5 smiley's per day then to read once in a year such a allegory as above yes

I wanted a personal invite like mmkhan had on his voting thread laughEveryone knows that Es = savage_carrot, it's so obvious.
Please mods check their IP's
She's invited to my party, since she'll bring the bhangra and the soul, while you can stand in the corner with a wet blanketIs there a limit now? If so what is it?

Oooh I'd like to answer too, teacher! The line is pretty much where it's always been which is people who post too many useless posts like in the past with just emoticons or whatever would get a warning. It's a case by case basis which I think is fairer than arbitrary limitations on all.piecey peace

Salaam,
There are pros and cons in unlimited posts per day.
I agree with savage_carrot

But the one of the cons is since this forum allows unlimited posts per day, hadithers can also become Advanced Truth Seeker or Wise One / Burnout.
For example this hadithist user Raaajah. His status is Advanced Truth Seeker. His posts are full of hadithism '(Regards,
Yuliana -
Walaikum asalam Bender,
I guess SC gave you the answers, spamming wouldn't be accepted even if it's promoting good content, spamming is spamming.
diamantinehoneybunch
I don't necessarily see it as a con if they get the title advanced truth seeker or wise one/ burnout. It just reflects the amount of posting they have done. Also just because their views are not the same (i.e. accept hadith) it doesn't mean they don't genuinely seek truth etc.
Salam )
