Allow me to introduce myself

Salaam, greetings of peace to everyone!
I'm Abu Zakariya. About 10 years ago I converted to 'the religion of the ahadith' (presented to me as al islam). Since that day I've read about a hundred books people had recommanded me to read, except the Qur'an. I went from 1 sect to another in my pursuit of the real deen of Allah. From jamaat tabligh to various salafi groups, hizb ut tahrir, adl wal ihsan, naqsbandi,... Not 1 of them told me to read the Qur'an, only books by this shaykh and that shaykh and tons of ahadith.
For the first time since that day I finally decided to detox myself from all the crap and read the Qur'an by myself. And to be honest, I never felt that great! I hope I can learn alot from you guys on this forum and please be patient we me. Like I said, I'm still in detox mode.
Ps. If my english seems a little crapy, pardon me. I'm Belgian -)

Salaamun alayka bro and welcome to the forum handshake
I think your story is very common for people who turn into a traditional "muslim".
As soon as they become "muslim" they begin to trade guidance from Allah for baseless narrations.
If they do not seek the help of Allah then for sure they will be lost and the sad thing is that they think that they are the guided ones.Alhamdulillah you returned in time back to Allah, He is always forgiving.
I believe Allah already gave you your first reward, the happiness when you choose for Him.
I think you will love this chapter (fm translation)In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful.
941 Did We not comfort your chest,
942 And take from you your load,
943 Which had put strain on your back?
944 And We have raised your remembrance,
945 So with hardship comes ease.
946 With hardship comes ease.
947 So when you are done, then stand.
948 And to your Lord you shall seek.May Allah bless you pr

Salaam Earthdom,
While your English is not close to perfect it is understandable. At least most of the time.
God bless you

Thnx everybody!

Peace be unto thee ^_^
welcome
Sorry for being late to reply.
The sectarians only tell you to recite (literally sing) the Qur'an.
Most of the mullahs invent, invent and invent new rules, which according to them are in accordance to Qur'an + Sunna
They are like the purifiers of religion. sigh
Anyway I hope that you enjoy this free-minded forum.

Salaam Man of Faith
Thank you for your critics Man of Faith. At least your critic made me realize more if I will be more careful if I want type words in here.
Yeah due my poor english, my posts usually misslead. Some of members in here complains to me, missunderstood mine posts and even accused me for being rude which actully I don't mean rude at all.
Plus I also find difficulties to read some articles in here.
Example is I even need Indonesian version of Wakas's article about salat in here http//muslimsaja.wordpress.com/2013/03/18/apakah-sholat-itu-sebenarnya/Actually I don't have intention for joining this forum at all, but because there are no Quranist Imams or scholars in here who I can met and Indonesian Quranist forum called "Forum Allah Semata" is very quiet right now (and some of their arcticle copied from here). So that's why I join this forum .
Btw I already made commitment if I will be not too active again on discussion in this forum (except if there is something important), so the discussion in here will not became broken due my bad english.
Peace

Salaam Earthdom,
Please note that my post was not intended as an insult. I tried to formulate myself positively, but perhaps I failed.
I meant that most people can understand what you write and your input is appreciated. Hope you will stick around.
I tried to help you before when I made a remark on your usage of the word apology that some sensitive people would not be offended.
God bless you
