Peace be upon you idolfree, drfazl and all

idolfree - my experiences are not just localised to particular seasons - summer ones are especially 'nice' because of how beautiful and perfect the world looks when you realise what God has created. The ease with which He has made all this and the difficulty we have in comprehending this reality even in small amounts.

drfazl - I do not agree with your concept of denouncing worldly knowledge. Rather, build upon the knowledge that we have already gained and are to gain in the future. Always progressing forwards in our understanding of our universe. For me, I feel strengthened in my faith in God and my happiness and contentness and thanks with the massive amount of blessings that He has showered on my life and of those around me. Positive outlook will make our universe around us more positive to us. Its psychological in nature, but once on the positive path, it increasingly gets harder to stay positive especially the more you learn. The negative path is very easy to stumble on to, it is a far easier path, but that way lies ruin.

Could you help me out in understanding Mi'raj please. I would like to understand

    1. WHAT is Mi'araj?
    2. HOW to enter Mi'araj?
    3. WHY enter state of Mi'araj (if state is correct word)?
    4. WHAT benefit do I again to my growth as a muslim in entering Mi'araj?
    5. HOW does it help to 'learn' the definitions of all things around me?

I know, sounds like a bombardment, but lets have a look see.

        Peace be upon you Darcus,

idolfree - my experiences are not just localised to particular seasons

Is that stated from you charting the times to see if there is a cycle, or just from your thoughts off the top of your head?

I only ask the question because I am reflecting on the cycles of things, like the seasons for example, and as ALL THINGS are part of the WHOLE, it tells me that all things are cyclical in nature, so that is the reason for my questioning.

People in the past have stated that the summer solstice is a time when many have lucid dreams, that is what Sakespeare speaks of in "A midsummer nights dream".

          Peace be upon you idolfree

My apologies for not replying sooner. My statement was no based on me studying when I have these experiences, as I am not looking for a pattern I haven't found one. Intrigueing line of thought though. I came upon something about the interlinked cycles that everything shares, from the vibrational frequencies of atoms, molecules, tissues, structures, systems, brainwaves, emotions etc on a strange site I encountered. It is difficult to read because of the way it is structured

          http//www.soulinvitation.com/indexdw.html

Of course, no need for me to tell you to take it all with a big pinch of salt, it all sounds quite far-fetched, but interesting nonetheless.

              1. worldly knowledge and 2. eternal wisdom

Please read the whole chapter Sura Ma'arij chapter 70. It will be clear to you by the time you finish all its 44 verses with applied comprehension.

OK Alma3aarij and not mi3raaj, it is not the same.

                  1. From Allah, Lord of the Stairways of Ascent/Possessor of the ascending portals. (He enables all things to ascend, evolve and become what they are destined to be).
                    Mina Allahi thee almaAAariji

704 The Universal forces and the Divine Energy ascend unto Him in a Day the measure of which is fifty thousand years.
TaAAruju almala-ikatu waalrroohuilayhi fee yawmin kana miqdaruhu khamseena alfasanatin

                    Marie

It is time you defined Mi'araj. I am not interested in what the dictionary says but what your comprehension reveals to you. It is because I believe Quran is not literal which can be confiend in the coffin called arabic dictionary. Quran is dikr. So say the revelation you received as a result of the dikr on the word Mi'araj

There is no Mi'raj in the quran. I trust only the definition given by the quran because I believe it explains itself.

drfazl - I would like your opinion/knowledge/comprehension on the questions that I posed. I have not come to a definite conclusion yet, my understanding of all things quran is still evolving. I would really like to know how you would answer those questions.

                        thanks

The plural of Mi'araj, Ma'arij sura 70 is there! Please read all the 44 verses to get at the clear picture of the singular of Ma'arij, the Mi'araj

drfazl - Could you help me out in understanding Mi'raj please. I would like to understand

                            1. WHAT is Mi'araj?

Mi'araj, is Unseen and Unforeseen Higher Reality, the promised life for us from the Truthful, The Lord of the Ways of Ascent. Our blind ways such as "see/hear and believe/receive/" knowledge is a great stumbling block to perceive/realize this Wisdom during our life here.

                            1. HOW to enter Mi'araj?

Beleive not what your eyes see but envision the visualization/prediction that Allah shows in your heart(mind); receive not what your ears hear, but listen to the wahy of Allah as He speaks to you His Higher Ways. Become a mumin in this way while rejecting what you see through your blindness and hear with your deafness as sure 'knowledge and the ways'.

                            1. WHY enter state of Mi'araj (if state is correct word)?

Every dream/heavenly-delight, the 'mental staus' must come true is anybody's aspiration. Dream is an endless Mi'araj/blissful/heavenly travel, a travel with Allah -, He guiding us into His Domain/the Arsh. Do you still not want to enter the state of Mi'araj?

                            1. WHAT benefit do I again to my growth as a muslim in entering Mi'araj?

The answer to this question is the same as above. Do dikr on mi'araj to grow/move further up the speed/gain of which shall be of such Endow that just one second of our life in the state of Mi'araj will bring us the Benevolence from Allah that is equivalent to 50000 seconds of hardest ways of living in this world with the earthy knowlege.

                            1. HOW does it help to 'learn' the definitions of all things around me?

                            ???

You are correct but Mi3raj for the believers is your own interpretation. I don't drawn deductions based on verses isolated from their context.

If the interpretation is discreet and not in tune with the popular literal translation, is it considered out of context ?
