Quran - The Wahi or Intuition
-
peace,
wisdom is observing with patience the happenings and the result being good. if the happenings you see is bad you have not still attained wisdom.
a prophet/messenger observes what is intuited in his heart. he verifies it in his life. he then teaches the believers how to observe the intuition in their heart and verify it in their life. the more they observe, the more pious and god-fearing they become, they feel the nearness of God, their Lord.

peace,
Quran, the physical Book consists of letters, words, sentences, verses, chapters. these are so arranged that you can do so many research out of it. the words, sentences and verses have objective meanings also you can do so many research. many do research in these. here this gives enough room for endless debates and divisions, conflicts. many just follow the outputs of these debates done by the speakers. there it leads to rituals, customs, habits, cultural, celebration, etc this consists of mainly the past, followed by the pride ritual debates of the present.
Quran, the wahi is divine. leads to pondering, remembering, has discussions well connected to their lives. which in turn gives start pondering and remembering on and on by the individuals which shape their life unique, acceptance of differences which is nothing but level of understanding. this is mainly about the future, through the signs of the present and remembering the past. this has no boundaries and is endless without any conflict. because this is not physical and nothing you can seize from anyone/anything....

I think he refers to taurat/torat which to my understanding means something like instructions or teachings. Just like you said Gospel or Injeel likely refers to the glad tidings that Jesus came with giving new light to the decree issued to Moses. Jesus did not really add or remove anything but only helped people interpret and give light to the old decree, and showed that it must not be interpreted absolutely literally but be taken as guidelines in your life in devotion to God. Same mistake people as of today do. To my understanding the recitation to the ordinary man X (allegedly Muhammad) was a reminder of that decree and revealed to a different people than the tribes of Israel and simultaneously giving (well-deserved) criticism to them (the Jews). And as you can see if you study its details it does not really add anything to the decree either and not new light was given to it that did not come with Jesus already.
Except that God seems to have lifted some minor prohibitions such as having sex during the nights of devotional times. It was likely done over many centuries in disguise and people may have thought God would not mind or see through the "fingers".
The torat are the most fundamental teachings in the decree such as the famous ten commandments and the "eye for an eye, tooth of a tooth" expression. That was something revealed to Moses and taught by subsequent missionaries including Jesus but who also gave some light to its interpretation, as well as Muhammad(!)
Certainly God's decree existed before Moses, but it was first then there was a clear distinction/division (alfurqan) between right and wrong. The torah at the time of Moses became the first clear regulation in God's decree so people had it black on white for the first time. This was also the covenant the tribes of Israel promised to uphold (and often failed too). Despite having the decree they (abstractly) threw it behind their backs as if they did not know.
And there was a particular promise from God to Ebrahem that was also in effect (if they were good-doers) after his excellent service to God and big prayer which is revealed in the recitation to the ordinary man X (Muhammad). And Ebrahem was not a Jew, Christian or Muhamadan ("Muslim" and was born in modern day Iraq near the Persian Gulf in the quite big town of Ur (in fact Iraq has several interesting locations were events took place, for example, Nineveh). The torah and other revelations were not revealed until after him. God kept the promise as Ebrahem had quite some righteous offspring after him.
But those who uphold the decree, Muhammedans or not, or Israelities or not, or Christians or not, all of those who believe and do good by following the decree and guidance and meld with their Master will have nothing to fear nor will they grieve. They will have their reward.

Peace,
Yes. It does mean that more or less.
Torat and Furqan gave us the first clear distinction between right and wrong. And Injeel gave new light to the same decree, but fundamentally the same although God lifted some prohibitions (as per the recitation).
A former unitarian Christian (like me) can read the recitation (Quran) and will find themselves familiar with the decree from before, especially if they see through the mumbo jumbo the so called Islamic clerics promote. For me as a former Christian is is the same faith, no more and no less. The difference is how people have traditionally interpreted it. Words like ketaab, salat, zakat and so on have been giving a really complicated meaning while they mean something quite easy. No one seems to mind that it is ridiculous with ketaab as book for example.

Peace hicham9,
Thank God someone is finally seeing the truth about ketab.
I do not intend to be arrogant about furqan, but check its root's occurrence talking about the separation of the sea. I read it as when the distinction between right and wrong came. By that I mean that the famous statutes like "thou shalt only serve God, thy Lord" and so on. Commonly referred to as Mosaic law in Christianity and Judaism. There was a clear seperation between right and wrong at that time. Before that the people did not have the same clear decree but was more open to interpretation. Now it was less to dispute about (despite that people have kept disputing though, but what they dispute about is the conjecture).
But the Torah is likely revealed like the furqan and the Torah is the distinction, the "black on white" decree revealed. It is a clear separation that occurred by the Torah. The Torah and the decree to Moses was not revealed until after Ibrahim for example. Abraham discovered about God himself among a people that were idolators and there were no texts at that time but perhaps notes written down by the blessed people at best. My interpretation is that this phenomenon when Moses came is what causes a furqan to happen, ie a separation, clear distinction. No one had any excuse to do this or that, know what I mean?
Anyway, check it yourself and return with what you think in case I have to adjust my interpretation.

Peace brother,
It could be that you are right. I saved it for future study. So you mean Moses received the decree and salvation/deliverance? Perhaps a better word is needed?
God bless you

peace,
Ofcourse, God talks to you sister, if you are ready to listen.
1697 - god say "male or female"
5729 - every believer is entitled.Peace.
Thank you for your input. )
It's meaningful for me, because I suppose I ever felt that the Qur'an verses seem aimed mainly at men (for they are in charge for maintaining female?).
May Allah bless you, brother.
Peace.

peace,
o men! surely, We created you from husband and wife; to make you know each other...
every action of a husband, should have a forethought that this action should bring likeness in his wife. the same with the wife. eg. a wife grooms her, but her thought is 'my husband likes this'. a husband helps in the kitchen, his thought is 'my wife likes this'. the knowing here is there is no physical talking taking place. they are knowing each others action by thoughts. these actions are good by nature because they are done so that the spouse likes it. the action is seen by all; but the thought is seen by the concerned and Allah. so the action gets protection from Allah.
it doesn't mean they do not talk. by their talk they are not knowing each other. what you exhibit is not the truth, for the Truth cannot be exhibited. Truth is only a feel. in the above eg. the liking is the feel. this feeling is universal language and this is the language of Quran.
the action without the forethought for the spouse goes unnoticed and is fruitless. only the action with this forethought for the spouse inspire for peaceful living. there are many so called inspiring quotes and inspiring life stories, but none inspires for peaceful living.
peaceful living starts from home i.e from husband and wife i.e within.. the book - Quran echos this feel for living.
my thought language should get response; if i didn't get, i pray for the response and wait in patience. for this i need guidance. the conciousness i.e the Quran guides, those who follow conciousness guide. they guide to the Giver of Response.

Salam brother.
Does it also apply as such if the reader is a female?
Peace.
Unless it is specified that only addresses a restriccted number, all addresses in the Qur'an are in the generic form, that is, all people, male or female. So feel addressed when it is not specified that it is addressing some other specifically.
Salaam

peace,
in line with the discussion happened in the other thread If only Allah, then Allah Alone.
6.17 - If Allah has allowed you a distress, none but He can remove it; and if He bestows you with a good, He has power over all things.
10.107 - And if Allah touches you with an affliction, there is none to dispel it; and if He wishes a good to you none shall halt His bestow. He delivers it to who He will of His bondsmen. And He is Most Forgiving, Merciful.
as a believer, God / quran's guidance to be followed in our life. unless Allah wills we cannot follow. here i take only two verses for now to discuss and by this, i invite those who got guidance and to what extent are following in their life 6.17 and 10.107. this as a proof from their life sets an example for those who need strength in the path of their God.
as a bondsmen, how we are contented, felt secured, felt peace.. at the reading of the verses and thus guided with strength in the path of peace revering the Almighty, the Most Forgiving, the Merciful.
ever since (2005) i was introduced to quran and the Only God; here i have to tell you when i first heard the speech, i was not knowing it was from quran. the talk was so near to the heart for almost all participants (irrespective of any faith) in that public meeting. i am attending it till now. my attending to doctors, medicines, for myself and later for my family stopped then by my Protector. not only doctor, stopped savings in my earnings by Allah, stopped personal and family insurance in the name of Almighty, stopped attending any rituals in the name of tradition by the Merciful, .... all praise to Allah. 2006, purchased quran in the meeting and started reading it, every talk is from the quran and only quran.
peace.
