    +salaam brother ForTheTruth

You have ask many questions. Here is my first answer as far as the positions of my salaat are concerned.

There are seven positions in one unit- they represents the phases of the creation in submission to ALLAAH as in the book (al-kitaab). The exact degrees of the angles I have not specified for now.
There are five Salaats when at rest and three when in motion. Salaat positions also become alterable under various conditions.

When at rest I am should execute the following Salaats

Salaat 1 x 3 units (if starting at sunset)

    Salaat 2 x 4 units

    Salaat 3 x 2 units

    Salaat 4 x 4 units

    Salaat 5 x 4 units

I have made these graphical illustration for you. They represent one Salaat unit.

Salam may peace blessing and knowledge be upon all of you may you succeed in this life and the hereafter. I have a question concerning salat whom ever is willing to answer this question i will greatly appreciated. see my question for you is how do you pray?, do you even pray at all?, or do you get in one knees and pray, or the prayer you pray is by thinking of God I want to know why you came up with that conclusion on how you pray. I have read so many topics on prayer day and night some say is ritual some say is not but i want to know how you do it how did you come up with that conclusion is your prayer define as ritual or is it not and what is the important aspect of prayer how do you define it is it the remembrance of God or is it some kind of checklist.

          Thank you.

I follow al-amiyr's way of performing salaats. I commemorate only ALLAAH, swt, avoid mentioning of anyone else in my salaats.

The truth is that for thousands of years billions of Muslims have uninterruptedly been performing salaat 24/7 all over the globe and almost all of them have been performing the salaat the same when it comes to the timing , the number of salaats per day, and the manner of physically performing the salaat. The only discrepancy is that they stared to commemorate Prophets and others alongside ALLAAH, swt in their salaats which The Qur'aan has made correction regarding that matter and in several verses informs us that salaat is for commemoration of ALLAAH, swt only. See 2014 for example.

          Peace,
          Khalil

                Just go to reply #9.

Regarding your other question, like I mentioned. I believe the majority of Muslims in the world perform their salaats correctly, except that they are not to mention and commemorate other than ALLAAH, swt in their salaats.

                Peace,
                Khalil

I aim to do 3 salat each day. The first before sunrise, the second between midday and sunset and the third after sunset.
I stand, bow and prostrate ("rakat&quot . I usually do the traditional number of "rakat" (2, 4, 3). I do the ablution detailed in Quran - wash face, wipe head, wash hands and arms to elbows, wash feet - but not necessarily in any specific order.
I use a compass to and website for prayer directions to face Qibla.

                  Some challenges for me are

                  1. waking up before sunrise, as I am not a natural early bird riser (I am a night owl). I usually feel sleep deprived, groggy and certainly not ready to focus my mind in a reverent state. Some mornings I just want to sleep in and not be unnaturally woken by my alarm clock.
                  2. I am often travelling in the car (or less often, on a plane) or out shopping during prayer time. I am living in a Sunni Muslim country. Women here do not usually pray in the mosque but at home, or in women's prayer rooms in shopping centers. The only place it is acceptable for me to pray here is in my own home as I don't wear hijab etc . I myself do not want to pray in sunni prayer places anyway. If I am travelling in the car / plane during prayer time I ask God to accept my prayer and I say 2 "rakats" without doing the physical prostrations. If I am shopping and not too far from home, I pray when I get back home as I normally return within the prayer time.
                  3. I try to do my prayer just after sunset rather than later in the night (when again I am usually very tired and find it difficult to focus my mind reverently). It's my understanding that the Arabic night begins from sunset and includes the "twilight time".
                  4. God says in Quran that our religion is not meant to be easy for us and not difficult to practice, so I trust God will forgive my errors and weaknesses and accept my efforts to worship, praise and give thanks for my blessings and guidance.

                    Peace all

There is not an animal in the earth, nor a flying creature flying on two wings, but they are peoples like unto you. We have neglected nothing in the Book (of Our decrees). Then unto their Lord they will be gathered. 638

If you believe and really believe that Allah has not neglected anything in the BOOK then think why HE neglected the all important SALAT? Why HE did not describe the details of the SALAT?

But do you think that Allah has neglected the SALAT? If you think so then you are mistaken. An inferior reading of the Book will always misguide you.

Did Allah not describe the CLEANSING method before the SALAT (WADHU) 56

Did Allah not say how many SALAT in a day 11114

Did Allah not name the TWO SALAT 2458

Did Allah not say that do not approach the SALAT while you are UNCLEAN

Dis Allah not say that do not approach SALAT when INTOXICATED. 443

Did Allah not say that you "SAY" in the SALAT. 443

Did Allah not say that seek HELP in the SALAT 245

Did Allah not show you a demonstration of the SALAT by way of ZAKARIYA 339

Did Allah not demonstrate to you the SALAT by way of ZAKARIYA that he sought HELP from ALLAH in his SALAT 339/40/41/41/42

Now think why Allah did not show you the postures of the SALAT. Because physical postures have no importance near Allah and to GLORIFY Allah, SEEK HELP and GUIDANCE from Allah, REPENT, and ASK FORGIVENESS, which are the components of the SALAT, does not require any UPS and DOWNS but what is required is the sincere approach, the thought of Allah in the HEART with the presence of mind.

The RUKU, the SUJUD, the TAHIYYA and the SALAM at the end are an invention of the BELIEVERS. When these inventions were ANNEXED to the SALAT only Allah knows.

Allah never said " RECITE" but "SAY" in the SALAT. 443

The above is the real SALAT and is according to the Quran and if you feel uncomfortable with this SALAT then follow the man made SALAT. Its your choice.

                    Thanks

Thanks brother but my question is still the same. Is this method prescribed in the Quraan.

That is the point to consider. The traditional way of salat is conveyed to us in man made books. When we read in the Quraan about sajud and rakuu we think about traditional salat because we have been brain washed as such.

I agree with Dr Shabbir that we should keep present traditional salat to avoid further problems within the community until a true muslim rule is established who will decide how to establish salat.

                      Peace

5.6 Yes this is the ablution I do, but does God specifically state that it must be done in that order? Also is it better to miss prayer if travelling than to say it without doindg a proper ablution - I usually put a small amount of water on my face and hands etc from my drinking bottle, as a symbolic gesture.

11114 .....at the two ends of the day and some hours of the night.
Beginning of day is dawn and end of day is sunset. Does some hours of the night =anytime in the night from after sunset until dawn?

2458 Fajr prayer - does fajr translate as dawn or morning or the beginning of the day or all of these and thus it is flexible according to the waking time of individuals and the different geographical time zones eg countries with perpetual night / day?

443 ...... until you know of what you utter .....
Yes, salat is verbal and we must understand what we are saying so I say my prayers in English as it is my mother tongue.

245 ... and seek help in patience and the prayer ....
The does not necessarily mean to ASK God for help during the ritual prayer, it could mean that through performing the ritual prayers in which God Alone is worshipped, you will receive help from God as promised in other verses in Quran.

339 - 42 Does not make reference to Iqimis salat (the ritual prayer) but just says that Zakariya was standing in prayer. As I understand it we can pray to God anytime and ask for help, forgiveness etc but the ritual prayer is specifically for the worship of God alone

341 wazkur Rabbaka kaseeran wa sabbih bil'ashiyyi wal'ibkaar. .....and glorify (Him) in the afternoon and evening
So does this mean there is an afternoon ritual prayer too?
