    Peace be unto thee.

    Dear moderators,
I am sorry if this is a wrong section for this thread.

I have heard so much from anti-MMs on this forum.

They say that MM is forbidden because
    MM is dangerous
    MM causes illness.
And they say that we just have to fully seek help from God without doing anything .

So what about vehicles? Vehicles produce harmful gases.
Does that mean we just should stick to riding horses, camels etc to go from one place to another place? These animals do not produce harmful gases and they are natural right?
    Vehicles are haraam right?

Computers, phones and gadgets produce radiations. They are haraam right?

Most air-conditioners produce CFC right? So they are haram?

Everything which is modern is haram because they are harmful!
    yeah

    Regards,
    Yuliana

      Salaam,

Breathing is haraam. It pollutes the environment.

      God bless you

Yes, exhaling produces CO2 which increases the temperature of surroundings.
        So it is haraam.

Using computers and electronic devices is also haraam because many people have myopia because of it.

            Salaam,

I don't know why anti-MMs don't want to post their inputs here.

If MM is haraam, then why the anti-MMs use computers which produce radiations?

              Salaam,

Hope it's okay to post in here even though the topic has been cold for a while!

I think the strong reactions against MM could be partly due to how many side effects they often have, and how the medicines can sometimes be worse than the illness it's treating. Also, there seems to be this mindset of using MM for everything and anything (minor cold? Take medicine. Runny nose? Take medicine) when often our bodies are capable of fighting off the illness without medicine. As a result of our over reliance on MM, we now have issues like antibiotic resistant infections, and various, powerful mutated strains of previously minor diseases.

That being said, I don't believe we should avoid MM entirely. There are lots of cases where no amount of rest and vitamin C is going to help and you need something stronger, but we need to take a balanced approach to them.
