      Salaam,

If you want to simply say it then just say it. But where are other messengers of GOD / Prophets? Why only Muhammad?

4152 And those who believe in God and His messengers and do not make a distinction between any of them, We will give them their recompense. And God is Forgiving, Merciful.

But in salat, only GOD is to be commemorated.

2014 "I am God, there is no god except Me, so serve Me and hold the contact prayer for My remembrance."

Also, putting Muhammad next to GOD is making Muhammad as partner to GOD.

      Regards,
      Yuliana

        Salaam,

No one claims that it is haraam to say that phrase, but many people deem it redundant. And today it could even be feeling like excessive glorification.

        God bless you

          It's Forbidden?? Of course not..
          But it's not important either..
And so does on saying "Jesus is our saviour" or "Siddharta is our Guru"...

Transforming from sectarianism requires the change of mindset.. it's common to find sectarians making a fuss over something which doesn't really matter, and forget things which matter the most.

          Salam / Peace

              Peace friends,

The Koran says Muhammad isn't greater than any other messenger, so if you're gonna say Muhammad in it, you may as well say Jesus, Buddha, Isaiah, David, and the near hundred known messengers. The Koran doesn't call for it from what I can tell.

                Salaam,

It is due to an intentional exaggeration of some verses which makes it believed that Muhammad should be loved as an idol and he should be obeyed because of numerous verses which say so but he is dead and cannot be obeyed in this life. Obey is the same as take heed of his Message from God anyway.

                God bless you

                  no
but by adding i testify before, it becomes a lie since you cannot testify on something you haven't seen.

                    That's just a dogma.

                      Salam

                      The question/issue

Saying there is no God but Allah and Mohammed is the messenger of God is haram?

The Qur'an are repeatedly confirms Muhammad is the messenger of Allah and none of the above statement is saying Mohammed was God. He was just a messenger and the Qur'an is a hadith, the utterance of Muhammad. No one knows the form or nature of the revelations received by Muhammad.

Therefore how can something according to the Qur'an is haram?
(ie. confirming our belief with the Qur'an)

If it is haram, the it is also haram to say we are "servants of Allah" in our prayers or else. It is so since we are partnering with Allah "to demonstrate" the relation between Master and His servants. How could human beings know God's exists if there are no peoples or living creatures in existence?

                      Peace

As far as I can understand it says that Muhammad is a sent by God, not that he is the only sent by God. Since Muhammad is khatam an nabiyin, in fact what that sentence amounts to is to the acknowledgement that there is no God but God and that that God took care to establish his relationship, conscious relationship with his servants via his sent all those he sent, stated naming the khatam an-nabiyin. Whatever might be wrong with the sentence would be not the mention but the intention. We are in relationship with god also by means of his envoys, apart from the relationship through persoonal feeling or conviction, because through His envoys in fact all human kind has an "official" relationship with God. That is why He sents those He sends and calls the lot Muhammad.

                        Salaam
