    salam al kitab

All my life, i have understood sanaton as year and have read 46-15 as you read it now.

if we read 46-15 alone, then 40 yars explanations seems plausible.
but if we take into account the 950 years age of Noah and the 300 years of ahl el kahf, we have a problem.

so, we have to choose between
    1- 950 years, 300 years and 40 years
    or
    2- 31 years, 25 years and 3,3 years.

please note, given the equation of god about noah (1000 sanaton- 50years= duration of staying of Noah between his people), then
sanaton=3 months leads to noah about 130 years
sanaton =6 months leads to noah about 370 years

from a mathematical point of view, the problem for me resume to
    can 3,3 fit to 46-15 ?
    and not to
which between 40 years and 40 months explanations is better for 45-16 taken alone ?

Now, lets go back to what you wrote in red.

46-15 is not saying that the 40 sanaton is married.

4615 And We enjoined man to do good to his parents. His mother bore him with hardship, gave birth to him in hardship, and his bearing and weaning lasts thirty months. So that, when he has reached his "body strength", and he has reached forty sanaton, he says
1 - My Lord, direct me to appreciate the blessings You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents,
2 -and to do good work that pleases You.
3- And let my progeny be righteous.
4- I have repented to You; I am of those who have submitted.

it is obvious that it is kind of prayer (doua and not salat) for what will happen in future.
so your question becomes is a 3,3 years old can project himself as parent and ask God to direct him and direct his future childs ?

    My answer is yes.
see this video of a 3 years old reciter of quran http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyVoOcZZ3cE
what do you think he is thinking doing ?
    there is many like him.

at three years old, childs like to play with dolls. Many Vendors of dolls recommand from 3 years and older.
What a doll if not a kind of projection of child to be a parent.

i gave you this link http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9605273.msg32575
    there, we find this

In his new book ?Born Believers The Science of Children's Religious Belief ? author, developmental psychologist and anthropologist Justin L. Barrett lists not only psychological experiments and studies, but information obtained by observing children. He provides evidence that even 12 months-old babies believe in God

    12 month old believer ???

i prefer a 3,3 years old believer hypothesis to 950 years old man hypothesis.

    Peace

      oups!
Equation 1000 sanaton- 50 years= duration of staying of Noah between his people
sanaton=1 months => Noah lived about 30 years in his people
sanaton=3 months => Noah lived about 190 years in his people
sanaton=6 months => Noah lived about 430 years in his people
sanaton=12months => Noah lived about 950 years in his people

      Peace

        Salam Noshirk ,

What you formulate above in red wasn't my question at all , sorry to say that but You twist and deform my question to become look as what you have wrote above ,

There is difference between projecting someone self to something in the future and doing it or living among it .

        my 1st question was

If you still persist about sanah/ year equal to lunar month , Can you kindly answer this questions

1- Is your 3.3 old man/boy theory for 4615 married or not ? does he has a progeny yet ?

see this video of a 3 years old reciter of quran http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyVoOcZZ3cE

        My 3th question

Can you kindly answer the following Do you think/ consider the boy in the link you provided married yet or no ? if so does he have children ( progeny ) ? how old you think his children are ?

No need to answer If you reject the concept of Sanah equal to one lunar month , and can you kindly review your calendar ? perhaps you bring something more accurate insha allah , and may allah guide us all to the accurate understanding and measurement regarding this topic .

No and no. Hope it is clear.
and 46-15 don't say that the 40 sanaton is married yet or having yet progeny
as you know, not all 40 years have parents still alive, are married and have progeny

Now, sanaton is a singular form
I don't know what is singular in your understanding. 12 lunars months ?
can i have your understanding ?
How can you proove that sanaton is what you think. Why not half a year ? it would fit better with the maximum "body strenght"

Please note that balagha Achaddahou is used also here
6-152 and 17-34 Age in wich inhertance is given to orphans
10-22 age in which Youssef get "knowledge"
18-82 age in which the two orphans will find the treasure of their father
28-14 age in wich Moses "istawa" and get knowledge (verse before is speaking about baby Moses)

so, if balagha achaddahou points to an age, you will have whatsoever to abandon 12 months theory.

          Peace

            Salam Noshirk ,

No need to repeat it as you only said it once .

I only want to show that the calendar you provided based in 3.3 years old in 4615 / a year equal to one lunar month is wrong and built upon a wrong basis , thank you for your sincere answer .

I Will inshallah share my views about the above .

              salaam alkitab

You have your calendar and i have mine.
i took into account 45-16 when i explained what sanaton means for me.
I took also into account the consequences "on the 40 sanaton" of exile of Bani Israel.

But the funny thing is that, even if i took away all what is relative to word sanaton in the first post, it change absolutely nothing to the calendar i proposed. It is a simple detail.
The calendar i proposed is absolutely not based on word sanaton.
So even if you are right on your unknown understanding of word sanaton, you are totally wrong on what you believe have demonstrated.

              Peace

                Salam

Friday name seems related to venus (godness of fertility) and saturday to saturn.
Please see this link of brother ayman http//www.free-minds.org/how-did-it-come-part-1

Going back to etymology, Joumoua simply mean gathering.
Sabt is also of clear etymology

                ( &#1577

That is, root points to comfort/rest/sleeping/silence.

Quran validates this etymology throught derivate soubatan
2547 And He is the One who made for you the night as a cover, and sleep for resting (soubatan), and He made the day to move about in.
789 And We made your sleep for resting (soubatan)?

turning back to sabt, these are the verses
265 You have come to know who it was among you that transgressed the Sabbath, We said to them ?Be despicable apes!?
447 O you who have received the Book, believe in what We have sent down authenticating what is with you, before We cast down faces and turn them on their backs or curse them as the people of the Sabbath were cursed. And the will of God is always done.
4154 And We raised the mount above them by the covenant they took, and We said to them ?Enter the passageway by crouching.? And We said to them ?Do not transgress the Sabbath;? and We took from them a solemn covenant.
7163 And ask them about the town which was by the sea, after they had transgressed the Sabbath; their fish would come to them openly on the day of their Sabbath, and when they are not in Sabbath, they do not come to them! It is such that We afflicted them for what wickedness they were in.
16124 Indeed, the Sabbath was only decreed for those who had disputed in it, and your Lord will judge between them for that in which they had disputed.

                16-124 is somewhat like 3-93
393 All the food was made lawful to the Children of Israel except what Israel forbade for himself before the Torah was sent down. Say ?Bring the Torah and recite it if you are truthful.?

That is God forbade in torah to bani israel some of what they invented. The Messih will then have to erase these torah interdictions if bani israel recognize him.

So Sabbath would be "an innovation", a kind of punition (see 7-163 above).
So it seems there is no "rest" day in deen of God.

In fact, there is no reason that deen interferate with a civil calendar.
There is quite no mention in quran of a religious unit of count of seven days.
The only exception is here, about people of Aad
697 He unleashed it upon them for seven nights and eight days, in succession. You could see the people destroyed in it, as if they are decayed palm trunks.

the yaoum el joumoua appears here
629 O you who believe, if the contact prayer is called to at the gathering/joumoua day/yaoum, then you shall hasten towards the remembrance of God, and cease all selling. This is better for you, if only you knew.

in conclusion, my understanding is that it should be some days dedicated to listening and debating about quran in group. If we rely on the only astronomical markers available, that is the only "extra-cultural" appointements, we have only full moons (of wich 4 are haram).

so neither friday nor saturday in deen.

                Peace

                  Salaam noshirk,

Yes. Definitely we should have at least one day dedicated to God every seven days. You know I am not an expert in Arabic, but I am sure that this is what Sabbath refers to. We should stop being concerned about our personal temporary gains and focus on the Lord. The traditional sectarians have got it right when they have their gatherings on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays even if they forget to make it full day and devoted to God alone.

Edit Sorry I misunderstood your text and saw you argued against the concept of Sabbath. Oh well, I still think there should be days devoted to God.

                  God bless you

All my life, i have understood sanaton as year and have read 46-15 as you read it now.

if we read 46-15 alone, then 40 yars explanations seems plausible.
but if we take into account the 950 years age of Noah and the 300 years of ahl el kahf, we have a problem.

so, we have to choose between
                            1- 950 years, 300 years and 40 years
                            or
                            2- 31 years, 25 years and 3,3 years.

please note, given the equation of god about noah (1000 sanaton- 50years= duration of staying of Noah...

Peace noshirk, those are different words; spelled using same letters with slightly different pronunciation/meaning.

There is a way to reconcile logically and mathematically which it all adds up perfectly...

4615 until when reached peak his and reached forty sanatan (10 lunar month period)
40 lunar months = 32.3408304 years old when reached peak his

2914 and surely sent we Noah to folk his so remained among them thousand sanatin (1 lunar month) only fifty Aman/year (lunar) of

                            1,000 lunar months = 80.852076 solar years
50 lunar years = 48.5112456 solar years (i.e. time remained among them)

                            80.852076 - 48.5112456 = 32.3408304 years or age sent when reached peak his (4615)

Perhaps they were also using 10 month lunar calendar year like Romans who discarded 2 winter months.

                              Salaam

95 So when the restricted months have passed, then you may kill the polytheists wherever you find them, and take them, and surround them, and stand against them at every point. If they repent, and they hold the contact prayer, and they contribute towards purification, then you shall leave them alone. God is Forgiving, Merciful.
928 O you who believe, the polytheists are impure, so let them not approach the Restricted Temple after this year of theirs; and if you fear poverty, then God will enrich you from His blessings if He wills. God is Knowledgeable, Wise.

unless Allah changed opinion between 9-5 and 9-28, seems thats
delay of the "restricted months" equal a year.

i recall that four ashor haral are (first full moon after autum, equinox, the 4th full moon, and the 7th full moon, and the 10 th full month).

Theory of "consecutive Ashor haram" have to explain how four months=one year

i recall also that hajj is used by quran as period of time to mean trimester (Moses duration of work with his step father 8 hojjaj or ten).

                              Peace from Ismael
