Where in the Quran does it say that Jibreel revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad?
-
A friend asked me a question while he was discussing about Quran alone stuff to his cousins, he asked me that do I believe in Angel Jibreel revealing the Quran to Muhammad? I said yes but I had no proof.
Can anyone of you who is knowledgeable explain me or provide me an ayaat to prove or dissapprove this? -
peace
16102 Say "The Holy Spirit has brought it down from your Lord with truth, so that those who believe will be strengthened, and as a guidance and good news for those who have submitted."
-
Another verse
297 Say "Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel, then know that he has sent it down into your heart by God's permission, authenticating what is already present, and a guide and good news for the believers."

Peace,
The 'bold phrases' in the quote of the ayat above does not in any way say it was to Muhammad that which was sent down; and what was it then that which was sent down, has already been present.
Note it was not sent to Muhammad but it was sent down upon to one and all as Furqaan that which was already present in the RUH of Allah as He breathed His RUH as the first breathing the moment a child is born. This RUH becomes the soul of a human being. Quran is nothing new from the time the man is created as the first crop of human generation, the Adam community.

Red The answer is "No" because alQuraan does not say so. And also there is no proof for Jibrael being an angel.
May Allah increase our knowledge and guide us on His path pr

Peace -- using cross-reference context it can be logically deduced/extrapolated and Qur'an definitely says so ...

472 and the ones believe they and do they the righteous works and believe they in what descended on muhammad and it the truth from lord theirs rids on them evil deeds theirs and corrects condition theirs
Peace,
In the above ayat there is clearly no mention of Quran. And then Muhammad is a Sura not related to a Man Muhammad in any of its 38 verses.

Salam,
What is Jibreel and what does it mean?

I asked Zir bin Hubaish regarding the Statement of Allah "And was at a distance Of but two bow-lengths Or (even) nearer; So did (Allah) convey The Inspiration to His slave (Gabriel) and then he (Gabriel) Conveyed (that to Muhammad). (53.9-10) On that, Zir said, "Ibn Mas'ud informed us that the Prophet had seen Gabriel having 600 wings."?Muhammad al-Bukhari, Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 54, Number 455

BenderPeace, I am totally ignorant of these narrations and have to ignore those brackets for they do not conform to Quran. Do you find any reality or truth in the said hadith conforming to Quran?

Salaam brother,
When Ibrahim was always called Ibrahim, Musa was always called Musa, then you could not mean Muhammad, but it means YOU . Until you take it on yourself, it will be really hard to understand what Allah wants from us.
May Allah increase our knowledge and guide us on His path pr

Peace Family of Believers,
Shakir Say The Holy spirit has revealed it from your Lord with the truth, that it may establish
those who believe and as a guidance and good news for those who submit. 16/102Shakir Say Whoever is the enemy of Jibreel-- for surely he revealed it to your heart by Allah's
command, verifying that which is before it and guidance and good news for the believers. 2/97Matthew 118
This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but
before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.Luke 126-27
In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged
to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary.Sahih International And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 26/192
Sahih International The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down. 26/193
Sahih International Upon your heart, - that you may be of the warners. 26/194
CONCLUSION
-
Gabriel and the holy spirit are one and the same.
-
There were two who bought the revelation.
-
None of the above.
