One of the first questions people ask when they meet someone new online, especially in a chatroom, is 'ASL?' (Age / Sex / Location). After joining this forum, we also come across lots of new people, but often we don't even know this basic information about each other. I thought it would be nice if we have this thread where all active members post a simple reply including their marital status for transparency. Depending on what is comfortable for you, you can be as precise or as vague as you like with the answers, or you can type 'Prefer not to say'
Age Can be an exact age (eg. 25) or an age-group (eg. 20-30), or 'Prefer not to say'
Sex Male / Female / 'Prefer not to say'
Location Can be a city, or a country, or even a continent (eg. Europe), or 'Prefer not to say'
Marital status Engaged / Married / Single / Widowed / In a relationship / 'Prefer not to say', etc.
Please note that this thread has been placed in the 'Introduce Yourself' section because it is intended for everyone, it is not restricted solely for single people or for any particular age-group. It is intended for all members to share this basic information with other Qur'an-only members and believing friends. I hope everyone will contribute to this thread to create a list of responses in one place. I think it will be interesting to see the variety of responses we get and perhaps it can help us understand each other better in our conversations.

I think that this topic will fail this way, simply because you did not add strict rules and it will get out of hand/full of off-topic posts after 2-5 pages. You must allways apply strict rules in such topics and only allow one single post per user, and only allow users to post their personal information. All other is off-topic and should be deleted.

I don't think strict rules should be necessary, people need to have the decency and etiquette to speak politely and respectfully even when some personal information is being posted. It shouldn't be a problem if there are a few posts afterwards relating to the posted information, for example if someone wants to make a positive comment about their experience of a person's location / country etc. But of-course, all posts must be with respect, being sensitive to the posted information, and if they have only negative things to say they shouldn't be posting here at all. If they want to discuss someone's details further, they can always send a private message to that person, and if things get too out of hand, there are moderators around on this forum.

There is no exact right or wrong age for marriage, people may find it suitable to marry at any age depending on their circumstances. You don't have to provie a reason, if people want to know more they can read your introductory thread or send you a private message.
