    Greetings my fellow earthlings,

I have a question, which some may remember about me posting this on another thread (cannot find it simply because I cannot be bothered)
I have a strong feeling that, putting code 19 and hadiths aside for a moment, that 9128-129 contains an error in it's literacy, or the way it's constructed. Allow me to elaborate on it a little?

There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; concerned over you and to the believers is kind and merciful. (912

But if they turn away, , say, "Sufficient for me is Allah ; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne." (9129)

That is the Sahih international translation I got off Google.

Now what I'm skeptical about is the fact that it starts off by referencing the people, then it jumps to referencing Mohommed, without any grammatical justification. The error I see is that in verse 129, instead of they, it should be 'you' because the sentence starts with 'but', or in Arabic, 'Fa-ina'. So instead, verse 129 should be "But if you turn away, then sufficient for thee is allah, there is no diety except him. On he thee has relied, and He is the lord of the great throne.

    OR

The error could be in 128 as well if we keep 129 the same.

"You have come as a messenger from amongst them. Grevious to you is what they suffer. You are concerned over them and towards them you are kind and merciful.

So the two versions I have come up with would be as follows..

"There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; concerned over you and to the believers is kind and merciful. But if you turn away, then sufficient for thee is allah, there is no diety except him. On he thee has relied, and He is the lord of the great throne."

    OR

"You have come as a messenger from amongst them. Grevious to you is what they suffer. You are concerned over them and towards them you are kind and merciful. But if they turn away, , say, "Sufficient for me is Allah ; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne."

I am certain that the possible corrections would be different in classical Arabic than the ones originally in place. So could 9128-129 perhaps be false based on this observation?

      OR...

"Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope" (2.286)

ie. to protect the Quran (15.9) and truth (18.22) etc.

      Therefore..

Therefore, the main message of the Quran is...

He has made plain for you the Deen
      what He enjoined upon Noah
and that which We have revealed to you
and that which We enjoined upon Abraham
      and Moses
      and Jesus

      that keep to obedience
and make no sects in it

Hard it is upon the idolaters the unity you call to

Mr. Rashad Khalifa said 'Only the Quran and nothing but the Quran'. Then he (Audubillah) removed two verses from the Quran on the basis of a highly questionable mathematical code, and used extra-Quranic historical reference from Hadith as further evidence. Is it not the height of hypocrisy and self-contradiction?

The reality is that Hadith-rejecters are ultimately Quran-rejecters as well. They have no Religion and no firm conviction. There faith changes like the wind.

Israfeel, what part of 'let us put aside hadith and code 19 and look at it from a literacy perspective' did you not understand? Did i mention Rashad Khalifa? Take your slandering else where, no one cares what you think about RK and quran only muslims.

I read your so called literary criticism of the two Verses. The problem is that your criticism is directed to the English rendering of the Verses, while we all know that the English translation is just that - a translation. The Quran itself is in Arabic. Literary criticism of the verses should be based on the rules of Arabic grammar.

Furthermore you say that this has nothing to do with Rashad Khalifa or his spurious code 19. You can pull the wool over other people's eyes, but not mine. No one in history ever questioned the authenticity of these Verses before Rashad Khalifa came along. The root of this highly flawed theory is the person of Mr. Khalifa.

Peace, imprecise translation and to insert ?you? ahead of so say makes no sense in any language.

9128 indeed came you (p) messenger from yourselves mighty on him what suffer you concerned over you with the believers kind merciful

9129 so if turn they so say sufficient for me the god not deity except he on him I put my trust and he lord the throne the great

Likewise see usage 21109 so if turn they say ?

Why the heck do you keep stereotyping all "hadith-rejectors" as the same?
Not all what you call "hadith-rejectors" believe in so-called miracle of 19 and messengership of RK, only a few do.
