I want to learn Quranic Arabic - where do I start?

Glory be to the Lord of the Worlds, I have reached a stage in my life where I sincerely want to learn the Quran in its original form, I want to learn Quranic Arabic - but where do I start?
Perhaps a section should be added to the forum all about Quranic Arabic?
I get it that first I must learn the basic letters and word structure, but I read articles containing information about male and female words, root words and the works and it simply confuses me.
Praise God I am usually a fast learner, but where do I start? I just need some help getting off the ground with this, any help is greatly appreciated.

My pleasure. The skill to translate is hardwired in our brains by the Grace of Allah the Exalted. When we understand a speech or text in our mother language, that is because of the translation the hardwired system did for us.
Translating text of another language is also a skill. One can learn it very quickly by writing down the hardwired mechanism in the form of rules or principles. One need not be a linguist for translating the text of Qur'aan. There were hardly a few linguists in the long list of translators of Qur'aan.
I hope it encourages you to undertake the task of translating and understanding the Qur'aan by your own effort.

Thanks again brother, and yes I am encouraged! I'm setting aside a few hours of each day to study Qur'aanic Arabic, and thank you for the skype invite but I am using my sisters computer which is quite slow and she doesn't want skype on it - but I would like to talk through PM's and I have a FB.
