Dear all, as we all know well that Allah is the lord of east and west ,this is as per quran. And in quran while talking about qibla,Allah said he is in the east and west both................my point is that why only two directions are mentioned(east and west)what about the other two directions that are north and south.
Will some one tell me that when were the four directions fixed by experts? Were the directions of north and south were not discovered at the time of our beloved prophet?I worked in an arabic speaking country for ten years, the arabs there said east means "right" like we have a right hand,in arabic east is also called "yameen".East also means good or beneficial as was I told there. And opposite to yameen is yasaar meaning left or left hand or wrong.May be I am missing the point so will some one clarify this for me.
And I would also like to know the arabic words for north and south if they are mentioned in quran or not.
If you know only little of arabic then you can easily recall that in arabic the word for milk is "haleeb"and word for yogurt is "liban"if you know this then would you like to tell me why quran uses "liban" for milk?
    Would any one help please?thanks.

On the issue of whether Allah is in the east or west.

Allah is One, Allah is Samad
Oneness, and a whole without any void or emptiness
Allah has no boundary and cannot be broken down into parts or fragments
and if something has no boundaries it cannot have a center
It is impossible for Allah to have a center, or to be in the east, west, north or south etc.
Therefore, maybe the ayat means something else...

Allah, God, Dios, Dieu or whatever, it is just a matter of language.

          Peace,

Allah, or whatever name you choose to refer to the one source, that made all that you see around you. God is not in any particular direction and it would be difficult to face "Him".

I suppose that you can refer to science and that scientists have theories that there was one giant expansion and that the universe keeps expanding as of today. And in the end it will return to the same state as One with a kind of implosion that will draw the whole universe back again like a cycle.

          God bless you
